Button Up Cafe — Restaurant in Oʻahu

I have visited on several occasions over the years, i really like the fact that I can come here and get the same quality food over the years with the comfort food quality and taste. I order certain things like the short rib eggs Benedict almost every time i come here. I am not an eggs Benedict person. I rarely order it because I usually don’t like most. This is one of the few places that I will especially when paired with the perfectly cooked potatoes or tater tots which are cooked to perfection every time. The place is small the menu has a good amount of choices but not an overwhelming amount. The staff is always efficient and fast. I have eaten here several times and it is busy but remember it’s a small dining room. There are several nice parks nearby or depending if you’re staying in the area. The other dishes on the menu are also just as good. Another favorite of mine is the corned beef hash with the potatoes. Some of my family likes the French toast that is stuffed and looks like a tower when they bring it over. Im more of a savory pallet but I do enjoy a few bites of it, some of the best I have had. You cant go wrong even if you order a basic breakfast the guys knock it out of the park. Definetly recommend just please have respect this is a small place so...

Upped my review to 5 Stars. Their braised short Rib Benny was out of this world delicious! The short ribs were juicy, tender and tasty, eggs perfectly cooked and hollandaise sauce on point. Tater tots freshly cooked, hot and crunchy. Perfection for breakfast! The portions were large, so much to eat, I could have easily shared it with someone and still would be satisfied.

5 Stars for their Nutella Cream Stuffed French Toast (with optional fresh Banana) that was amazing! 3 stars for their hamburger steak plate which had delicious fresh sautéed mushrooms, onions and gravy, BUT was burning HOT from way way way too much black pepper and rock solid hard puck hamburger patties.

Reasonable prices. Friendly nice efficient quick service. Great menu selection, we will be back to try more items another day.

Local Pearl City cafe specializing in a Hawaiian slant on classic foods. This place is always busy and has a robust takeout game as well. When we pulled up at 9 am on a weekday, the cashier warned us that we would have a wait for our food, due to all the to go orders piled up before we got there. I had the Eggs Benny with braised short ribs and fried rice on the side. I was a little dubious about the short ribs so was going to go with the kalua pork eggs Benny, but when we sat down, the diner on the next table had the short ribs and she allowed me to take a glance at her short ribs. It looked scrummy and ended up tasting fabulous, the slightly sweetened boneless short ribs melting in my mouth. I also recommend the canned Thai Tea and would pour it over ice-it’s a generous 500 mls. We also had the mushroom and bacon omelet with a side of tater tots cooked brown and crunchy on the outside. The place is very small with 6 2-tops and 3 4-tops. Very nondescript on the outside- this is truly a hidden secret. The meals are huge so get 1 sweet and one savory entre, and share...
