Not giving a completely horrible review because 2 of my family members enjoyed their food, but some of us unfortunately did NOT. My wife & I ordered a dish thinking it was a platter & it was a very small dish of some sort. First, the taste is something of an “acquired taste”. To be blunt, it was a definite no go. Asked to switch it out for something else as it was not what we expected & tasted bad in our opinion & was told no & but we could gladly order & pay for something else. Secondly, the price is a bit much for this tiny dish ($19). My daughter ordered fries & those tasted bad as well. It tasted like the oil needed to be changed. They had that old oil taste. She also ordered a peanut butter, banana, & chocolate smoothie & it barely had any flavor. Too much ice maybe? But the only thing you really tasted was unripe bananas & that was minimal. Overall, it was not a good experience. The atmosphere was great, but definitely not worth the price or the stop especially since we’ve had amazing food all over so far on our trip.

~ Ambiance: Metal Roof Garage Style; hot & humid inside, best to eat outdoor seating ~ Customer Service: Family Owned Business with "No Aloha"! Please read below regarding this. ~ Prices: Not much value based on portion especially for the Poke Bowls.

Having this spot bookmarked on Yelp for quite some time now, we finally had the chance to check it out after a family beach day!

Upon entering the dining area there was a good amount of tables to choose from yet a few needed to be cleaned. After standing for some time we finally asked someone to clean our table. From what I learned the Owner herself Ashley came by to wipe down the table but not the chair that had leftover food which I wiped myself in front of her and said, "Thank You". No response with a, "You're Welcome".

While waiting for our food we ordered a Large house-made Virgin Mai Tai with Lilikoi Foam Drink. What felt like 15 minutes, a young girl (looked the age of 9) named Peyton handed the drink off but then rolled her eyes as I'm saying, "Thank you" to her and she just walks away shaking her head. The drink itself was refreshing but absolutely not worth the $8 for the size we purchased!

From initial ordering to receiving our food all in total it took about 25 minutes. Which to be honest, was too long to wait for what we ordered. Another young girl by the name of Maddi dropped off our food but didn't ask nor said anything else to us and walked away. Quite disappointed with the service we've experienced from the beginning. Now here's our takeaway with our food choices:

The rice was too mushy in all of our orders. We read other reviews about the rice being mushy and apparently they never corrected this. If the rice and mac are not on point you won't have a decent plate lunch or poke bowl. *Loco Moco: a good portion served with a tasty gravy however, the mac salad was bland.

  • Poke Bowls are small in portion and have cabbage on the bottom to make it appear bigger. *Moloka'i Ahi Poke Bowl: ingredients tasted fresh except for the portion made small. *Pele Poke Bowl: a nice hint of spicy kick, a good texture crunch with the crispy chili but the pickled sea asparagus was overcooked (no color).

We would have been satisfied if the Family Owned Business carried Aloha within themselves. Everyone we came across had no smile and appeared to not enjoy their jobs as they walked around with (no smiles or acknowledgement), the way they upkeep the tables (no sanitizing, just dirty tables), only one cook? (waiting time took too long, food quality not where it should be), and no table touching from anyone is very disappointing!

If you are going to charge higher prices and not have the basic foods cooked or prepared well at least show ALOHA to your guests. We really had high hopes for this family run business yet our expectations...

TLDR: Food is amazing once it comes out, it takes some time-it's a small business, be patient. But the amount of attitude for trying to be a customer makes it hard to want to come back, would say it's an off day but got attitude on two different occasions. Hours may vary.

Stopped here on the way back home since it said it was open until 8. Got told at 4:45 if we wanted food we had to order before 5, which I get, small businesses close early from time to time. The menu was very limited as they were out of a lot of things, again good for them, it means they're getting business! But the attitude given when I did order or when my friend tried to order a drink to be told, only cooler drinks, then when asking for a cup of water being told the machine is broken (for water?) then later asking for ice and being told the machine is broken as well, and every time it was like we were a nuisance to ask any questions or even to do something like buy another drink. The atmosphere is very unique and fun but I probably will never come dine in here again. I'll do to go, or if I can order online I will so I don't get the attitude and feel like a burden to somewhere I'm trying to support. I get we all have bad days, but this was not the first time getting similar attitude while trying to do something simple like ordering. Also be aware, it takes some time to get food because it is a small business it's like one person cooking and she is trying just be aware. Also investing in an open/closed sign would help so people don't come in and get disappointed when the other customers have to tell the people coming in the place is closed, probably because they were expecting it to be open based off the hours on Google (and painted on the side of...

Went on a whim, was not disappointed. Up front, if you're in a hurry and can't be bothered to wait on amazing food then this isn't your place. But if you are a foodie and patient, you'll be rewarded. First thing that really stuck out was how friendly the staff was. All smiles and started conversation right away. The dinner menu was packed with great dishes. I settled on the BBQ plate and lychee lemonade, we also ordered our desserts then because they make them fresh per order. My party got some appetizers that were phenomenal, the wonton pork nachos were so good. When the BBQ plate came out the look and smell blew me away. I have to say that from the pork, chicken, and kalbi ribs, the ribs were the winner in the flavor department. I ate it all though and barely had room for the ube cherry pie but it tasted fresh and so good. My friends and I shared our desserts and they were all good. When it came time for the check, the waitress was so nice and had no problem splitting it for us. There was a little hiccup at the end but we had a good laugh with the waitress about it and it added to the night. If you're up this way, definitely...
