BEST BREAKFAST OF YOUR LIFE
If you are an avid breakfast lover, this is the place to come. My fiancé ordered coffee with the Kahlua (apple doesn’t register Hawaiian language) pork hash with a side of papaya. I had the over easy plate with two eggs, homemade sausage, and crispy potatoes. Added a side of pancakes. Our server brought the coffee and there was a hair on top of the cup but she immediately noticed and said she would replace it. Our food came out quick. My boyfriend’s hash was pretty massive. I think two people can share it. It came with lots of pork, potatoes, green goddess, and pico on top. He let me sample and it was so yummy. Not salty at all. The pork is tender with a nice flavor to it. It’s a hearty meal. Made for eating before going out on a day at the beach.
My breakfast was just as good. The crispy potatoes have a lot of crunch to them without being greasy. My eggs were cooked to perfection. The side of pancakes were HUGE. They are coated with a nice layer of powdered sugar ( no butter, you’ll have to ask). They remind me of Cracker Barrel’s pancakes- which I have been dying for since moving to the west coast. The only thing I didn’t like was the homemade sausage. It had a little too much fennel seed for my liking. I don’t like quite that much. The papaya was delicious!
I wanted to try the breakfast drinks but I’m pregnant so I can’t say anything about it. I will say, we sat by the like bar area they have that is by outdoor seating. I saw the waitress pouring green juice from a pitcher. Originally thought they made each juice MTO (made to order) but it looks like it’s made then put in a pitcher until they run out. I would have tried it however, being pregnant, you have to be careful if the veggies are cleaned properly.
Get here early because we came on a Wednesday at 930 and by 1030 they had a bunch of people waiting for seating. It’s a hot place to get breakfast.
Also, if you want to get a facial nearby, visit the skin hut just behind Over Easy in the pink building. Get breakfast and then a facial. My...

We came to Over Easy for our last meal on the island—and I’m honestly mad about it. If I had known it was this good, I would’ve been here every morning, happily turning into a brunch regular with a tan.
The place is popular for a reason. We didn’t call ahead (yep, we were those people), but only had to wait about 30 minutes—which is nothing when you see how packed it gets. Pro tip: call ahead if you can. Your future, hungry self will thank you.
Now the food… holy brunch. It was freaking delicious. My family is a chaotic blend of health food lovers and fried-food enthusiasts, and this spot made everyone happy (a miracle, really).
I got the Fried Egg Sandwich and I’d get it again in a heartbeat—crispy, flavorful, and hit the exact right level of indulgent. For the table, we shared the Crispy Edge Pancakes and YES, they are exactly what they sound like. Massive. Crispy. Pillowy in the middle. Get them for the table—you’ll look generous and avoid a food coma.
Also, the family Bloody Mary connoisseur gave their drink two thumbs up and a dramatic head nod, so that’s basically a Michelin star in our world.
Perfect spot for your last (or first, or 7th) Hawaiian brunch. Trust me—don’t wait until the end of your trip to discover Over Easy. Just go. You’ll be thinking about it on the plane ride...

But the real highlight at Over Easy is the Custard French Toast, a dish that feels like a special indulgence. Made from thick slices of Hawaiian sweetbread, each piece is perfectly crisp on the outside while maintaining a custard-like softness on the inside. The texture is melt-in-your-mouth and just the right amount of decadent. Topped with a subtle whipped cream and a touch of orange crème fraîche, the toast is transformed. The whipped cream brings a light sweetness, while the orange crème fraîche adds a hint of citrusy brightness, creating a beautiful balance that’s refreshing yet satisfying. Each bite is a blend of flavors and textures that feels both luxurious and comforting.
