Ramen Ya — Restaurant in Oʻahu

After reading great reviews, I was looking forward to trying this place out! Unfortunately, I wont be back. I ordered the big bowl of ramen that comes with just about everything you could think on it. The soup was very bland and the noodles tasted the same, essentially nothing. The toppings looked great but they were so cold! Colder than if you dumped them out of a can. I'm hoping I just went there on a bad day... I tried adding every sauce available on the table to try and make it taste like something, but didnt do the trick... The staff was nice, and I apologize if I came across rude upon leaving. It was just not a pleasant experience. The curry smelled really good that some other people had ordered, maybe that's the thing to get there. I ordered a side of gyoza, and that was actually pretty good now...

We love this place! We found out that each location may vary so you may have to ask questions to ensure that you're ordering what you want if you've visited another location. For example one location offers fried rice with pork and another does the same dish with spam. Service is great and dishes come out fast. Portions are huge so be mindful. A side of miso soup is like ordering 2 bowls in other restaurants. Prices are reasonable for the quality/quantity scale in my opinion. We ordered kimchee fried rice, pork fried rice, tan tan saimin, chicken katsu curry and gyoza. All of the dishes were great. The only issue I had was that the kimchee fried rice wasn't very hot (temperature). I think because when they added the kimchee it may have brought the temp down. Other than that, great experience. Good...

I've been here a couple of times, usually with my parents since it's so close to home, and I haven't been disappointed once.

The combo meals here are pretty amazing and offer such a large amount of food! I definitely enjoyed the Katsu curry + ramen combo. The fried rice here is pretty good, as well. Highly recommend getting different sets and sharing them! The food service here is nothing to shout about, but I didn't once feel like we were over or under serviced, which is a difficult medium I find a lot of places meet.

It's in a pretty busy area, but since a lot of the other places nearby are primarily to-go spots, you can get a spot...
