Ordered take out, tonkatsu combo and miso butter fish. Was told food would be ready in 20min, got there in 25min and picked up without issues. Convenient curbside pick up parking. Drove home immediately (live less than 1 mile away). The worst tonkatsu I've ever had. Pork was super dry, like "microwaved yesterday's refrigerated leftovers for 6mins on high" dry. Not a single piece of either fillet was soft. Visually it looked like translucent plastic and I felt like I was chewing a hard rubber toy (not quite dehydrated enough to be classified as jerky). Breading was american style, hard and matted and not light, fluffy and crisp like panko breading. It tasted like a salt lick, my tongue was raw after 5 pieces. I couldn't tell if it was raw from the salt or because it had the texture of the sawed off end of a 2x4. The sauce was not sweet and savory but tasted like a reduced BBQ sauce where a pound of salt was the only ingredient added to the liquid. I tried to eat it (without the sauce since it was already super salty) because I already spent $46 and wasn't going to drive back to salvage the meal but had to throw the rest of the meal away. It was so tough, dry and tasted awful. The miso butterfish was very tender, bit salty but it was edible and would suit any average person's salt tolerance. My two year old loves salty food (breakfast sausage and bacon are morning staples) and he loves fish (can't get enough mackerel or ahi in him) but he only ate a quarter of the small filet. He's only two so take it for what it's worth, I thought it tasted fine but my taste buds were already assaulted by the tonkatsu so I can't say I actually tasted anything. Would give one star but wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, their chef may be rusty because they aren't cooking as much due to the shut down and take out is never the same as dining in. They have rave reviews so hopefully my experience was not a good representation of their normal quality. I would give them another shot but 7-11's prepped tonkatsu meal was WAY better than what I had tonight unfortunately.

Honestly 5 Star Reviews are only for the Sushi. Great Stop for Sushi and Beer. DO NOT come for dinner or order anything besides Sushi from menu. Service was ok, but kitchen was SLOW. Waited an hour after ordering for food. Everything was mis-timed. Main dishes were like warm or dry from sitting. Then why did we wait so long. A kid's meal took the longest, which is saying something. Karaage Chicken tasted like the flavorless batter chips you find at the bottom of a KFC popcorn chicken. To say I was disappointed in comparison to what I paid is an understatement. Look closely at all the reviews here and you will see the pattern. People that order anything in or out that isn't sushi don't have good things to say. Now I can see why. Will not be coming back UNLESS it's for a quick Sushi roll. The rest is a waste. Posted photo is of my dry, flavorless karaage chicken.

Definetly recommend the Dynamite roll options (salmon or ahi), the Hana Sake sampler, and the fried ice cream dessert which is already half eaten by the time I took a picture. I got the vanilla but they have a green tea option which is really good too. Service was super pleasant! Looking forward to my next visit!

Please get your system together. My party of 4 arrived just after 6pm to inquire about the wait for a table of 4. We were told a table would be available at 7:10. We walked to Bottleheads for a drink while we waited and 10 minutes later we were called and told our table was ready. We apologized and left our table at Bottleheads and walked back to Tokoname, only to be told that our table was not ready because a reservation had accidentally canceled and our table would be ready at 7:15. We said no problem, and walked back to Bottleheads, apologized to their staff and sat again for a glass of wine. At 7:07, after waiting for over an hour for a table, we get a call that more online reservations came through the system and they gave our table away. We waited for over an hour to be told there were no tables? This was our last night with visiting family members in town, and we ended up eating at Nico’s for the 3rd time because we had to eat something quick at that point so they could head to bed for their early flight. Extremely...

We are regulars and have had great service from the waitresses. We made reservations online to celebrate or son's 16th birthday and were excited. When we showed up the manger was hostessing and was stressed out. When one of our regular waitress asked the manager if we were alright the manager got rude and said we 'didn't make the reservations right and now she has to figure something out' and loud enough for everyone waiting to hear. After waiting for another 12 minutes she made one of the bus boys come to us and tell us that there's no tables available and all they can offer is the bar seating. I reminded him that we made reservations and he said they can't honor the reservations because things filled up to fast. I asked to talk with the manger and she refused to talk with us. All this happened with my son listening, only wanting to celebrate his birthday. A parents we were very disgusted with how the manager handled this situation. Our family and friends will definitely be avoiding this restaurant...
