Steak Rave — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Must have in Kailua. Been here on other trips to Hawaii. Location is interesting, its kind of attached inside the Oneawa Market. Meant to be a takeout though I guess you could eat standing up on the side counter inside.

Steak is very lean. Best to eat straight away or it may become too cooked/dry. I haven't tried yet but I wonder if I can ask them to not cook it well done. They have a special sauce that helps give it that extra flavor and will moisten it up a little. Even so I still really enjoy it. We have also tried the chicken and a our new favorite, BBQ Chicken. Good flavor with the marinade throughout the meat, also hard to over cook the chicken thighs.

Good portion for price. Definitely better value than anything you can get down in Waikiki. Made sure to hit this place...

Stumbled upon this small hole in the wall hidden gems walking into Oneawa Market years ago -- 5, maybe 6 -- and been returning ever since. Cheap eats without the cheap taste. Phone orders, walk-in, dine-in (on the diner like tables or bar area fronting the door) I've always had fast, friendly service. Husband and I can have a meal for less than $20 and fully satisfied bellies. Steak plates, combo plates, steak & noodles, I don't think we've ever ordered something we weren't satisfied with, especially for the price. Extra sauce options on the side allow patrons to select different...

The first time I came here I cracked up laughing because the first thing I saw when I entered the door was the lady scolding a new customer about putting something on the meat before even trying it. He actually tried it in front of her and admitted liking it.

[FOOD] Definitely a fan of the steak. It’s nice and tender. Decent size for the price. Also like that it’s in a convenience store so I can grab something other than the regular sodas to drink with my food.

[PARKING] This is my only complaint that there is only couple of stalls but well...
