Goodcents — Restaurant in O’Fallon

My staff and my family order from here often and I must say the food is fresh and usually nice and hot. The young adults that work there are sweet and always so kind. One day I heard this young man yell at this elderly woman working there and thought he was so rude and the employees commented that he was the owners son. I suggested they tell the owner that he treats their employees terrible. After recently picking up an order and that same elderly woman who had been mistreated was behind the register. SHE starts yelling at the employees and shaming them for her own simple mistakes. It made a scene and felt extremely uncomfortable. Found out that she is the owner and the mother of the rude son. Multiple comments from others that this goes on regularly. One delivery person dropped off our order claiming they were NOT going back due to intense working conditions. I debate buying from them because of the way they treat there employees. It is a shame because we order several times a week for our company guest as well. Regardless of how great food is management/owners people skills need to be observed and checked.. There is not an ounce of joy in this place. visited this location for lunch on 4/5/2025 at 1330 the first time after returning from overseas and a deployment. I took my wife and three kids for lunch, hoping for a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I was left feeling disappointed.

I requested a larger water cup to avoid multiple trips for refills, but was charged for a regular cup. When my wife suggested making it a combo, I was still charged for another cup. With 10 employees present and the restaurant being nearly empty, the lack of attention to customer service was surprising.

I'm sure the food is probably good, but a full hour lead time is unacceptable to me. Especially when absolutely nothing in my order was cooked. We are just talking about 4 sandwiches here folks. It isn't complicated. I spent 10 minutes selecting my food and then when I saw that the earliest order time was 1 hour, I abandoned the cart. I called the store just to provide feedback, but the manager did not seem that interested. You guys could add one small option that would make a huge difference. Keep the time intervals you have now but add one at the top that reads "Deliver my food as soon as possible". 1 hour for cold sandwiches at an address less than 1 mile from the store is completely unacceptable.
