No. 1 Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in O’Fallon

I absolutely love this place. Food is always good. Delivery time is reasonable. They seem nice enough. And out of the several dozen times I have ordered over the years they only got one order incorrect with a missing item. I would like to give them 5 stars but I do have some issues.

The food seems to be getting more and more expensive all the time. Not just with inflation but on a regular basis. I get a receipt stapled to the bag but it's in a language I cannot read. How do I know I'm being charged properly. The prices online are not always the same if you ask them. They don't off the lunch specials on Sunday's, so you are forced to buy the bigger plate. I just called maybe 5 or 6 times in a 15 minute period because Google says they open at 11:30am but they wouldn't pick up until 11:45am. They jam pack the food so tightly into the plastic containers that when you open them food falls out of the sides. And apparently they are charging $1 each teeny tiny cup I order of ginger sauce. Most other places charge $.25 or maybe even $.50. $1 per little cup is outrageous.

Even after all this, I will still order from here but I wish they would pull it together. Shape up or ship out. Because you're not the only Chinese...

I called to place an order for delivery . A very rude woman picked up the phone and just said hold . Then sat the phone down . I could still hear all the noise in the background and heard nothing but profanity . Then she got on and asked my address . I gave it to her and she had it incorrect . So i asked her to verify it with me . She said her driver will verify it with his phone . But she had the wrong city . I explained this to her and she said then dont order , And then she hung up on me . So i called back and asked for a manager and the manager refused to take the call because they werr " cooking " . So then the guy on the phone that told me she was not goi g to take the call got an attitude as if i did something wrong . I have ordered from here many times . But will no longer be ordering from here any longer . What kind of business lets their employees treat customers like that ? Further more , what kind of manager is no willing to fix a problem that their employee caused . What company lets their employees hang up on customers over...

2 times I ordered ahead of time by an hour. First time was over an hour and half late and end up driving up to get refund. Second time called bc late and wanted to make sure it was out for delivery and when I called and asked they said “yeah it’s out” never asked for phone number bc I called on different phone or address. This place is a joke when it comes to delivery! Gave a second chance and never again been waiting an hour after delivery time requested.

Called 2 more times on different numbers than phone order was placed and immediately when I asked where my order was they said “on the way” when I asked how they know bc I called on different number they go “oh! Wait….hold on” this is amazing they are still in business. Food showed up an hour late and refused it bc order from “New China” always satisfied with them just wish there was another “ close to competitive” Chinese restaurant near by. Now will definitely always order from “”NEW CHINA”...
