Baby A’s Barbeque — Restaurant in Oak Grove

I chose this restaurant based on its strong reviews, but my experience fell short of expectations.

I called an hour before closing and was told they were “getting ready to close,” though they still accepted my order. When I asked about dessert, I was told the only option—banana pudding—had gone bad and was thrown out, which was not the most reassuring comment to hear.

The location was a bit hard to find, but I was greeted politely upon arrival. The cashier mentioned quoting me the wrong price on the phone. Quoted a pound of pulled pork was $13/lb when it was actually $18/lb when I arrived at restaurant?

Unfortunately, the pulled pork lacked any smoked flavor, tasting more like oven-cooked meat than barbecue. No sauce was included or offered.

Although it’s the only barbecue option within 30 miles on Sundays, I will not...

We really wanted to love this place because it’s local but unfortunately it just wasn’t good. The Mac and cheese was okay but the ribs were super dry and the brisket was sliced to thin, it was way to fatty and not better quality. It was super chewy and tasted like it wasn’t very fresh. I couldn’t do more than a bite and had to spit it out. So sad because we don’t like chains and want to support local business but it was really disappointing. We might give it a second try but...

I wish I could have given this restaurant zero. Stopped here for lunch. Place was some hard to find. Restaurant is clean. Customer service not bad. However the food is terrible disappointing. Smoked beef Brisket what's dry since I said it was left over from a few days BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs was no different. Mac& cheese was salty and nasty. If your dog.likes cook food this is the place to take them.. run run faster...
