Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Oak Grove

I love the sandwiches at Jersey Mike's, but the customer service has been subpar regardless of the location, CA and KY. I believe this company would benefit from a more comprehensive employee training program. With so many great choices in convenience food these days, customer service is the critical caveat to keep customers coming back. My experience today with this specific location (Fort Campbell, KY) left me feeling I need to find another location and try again. There was a fly crawling all over the sandwich bread and counter where the woman was slicing the meat. When I brought this to her attention the only acknowledgement she gave was a half head nod with no eye contact. It seems I irritated her by letting her know the fly was on the food. Worse, she didn't even try to shoo it away, throw away the bread, or wipe down the counter. She just let it continue to crawl all over. I hate to think she used that bread to make a sandwich for some unsuspecting person who followed me. As she was irritated with me now, when she asked me what I wanted on the sandwich, I stated "a little bit of mustard" so she gobbed 2 thick lines of mustard on the bread. I hesitated and started to ask her to remove some of it, but her attitude was so bad I opted to take it home and remove it myself. I will not repatronize...

Go here often. This time I had hair in my sub....this happens every now and then when you don't cook your own meal at home. Shift manager black girl with the pretty braids or dreads was as sweet and respectful as can be and refunded my money and gave me another sub for free with no problem at all. I'll be sure to get her name next time so I can brag on how professional she was. Most places would make it difficult if your asking for anything more than a replacement but I requested a replacement and money back and she said no problem at all. Thank you Jersey Mike's for training your staff to treat people right and make up for any mistakes made. I will continue to come back every week and recommend all my friends to the best sub shop on planet Earth.....lil expensive lol but it's a treat for my family on pay day we all can taste a huge difference between here and any other sub shop in town. I liked Jersey Mike’s the first time I had it, so I figured why not give it another try and order something different. Decided to get the chicken bacon ranch with jalapeño and mushroom sub chipotle mayo hot sandwich, and when I got home, there were not any veggies on it. Not even the lettuce and tomato. Called in, and of course was given an excuse of them having a trainee and that it had been very busy. I was so annoyed because I was extremely hungry, but the sandwich was just subpar...gotta do better.

Editing to say, I was able to get my order replaced today and it was absolutely phenomenal! The manager was so nice and accommodating! Even gave my two boys cookies! I was almost sorry I left this review, but they definitely made up for the mistake today! Will be back for that same sandwich...
