Full Moon Italian Café — Restaurant in Oak Park

When my friend and I googled Italian food this place came up as a suggestion. The Cafe is located inside of an office building on Greenfield and has no signage visible from Greenfield. It's easy to pass by it if you don't know where to look. Let me be clear, this is in no way an Italian restaurant! It's a pizza place that also sells some calzones, salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes. But it feels more like a Coney Island than it does a proper Italian Cafe. Take out only. Very disappointing experience. I placed a food order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes with no update, I went to the counter—nobody was there. I called out “hello” a few times, clearly heard in the kitchen, but was completely ignored even though I could see them back there. When I arrived, the place was practically empty, so it’s not like they were swamped. On top of that, the interior smelled musty and old, the decor is way outdated, and the tables were sticky. I was testing this place at first, but after we put in the order, I couldn't believe the food taste and quality. The food tastes incredible and so so delicious. I really believe this place can compete with major other restaurants if it comes to taste and food quality. Please don't let this place fool you, try it once and just like myself, you WILL come back. We even ordered food to take away with us for the next day to have lunch. I wish you the best of luck on your new restaurant and I pray you guys continue...
