A Frothy Tale of Scooter’s “Almost There” Cold Brew
Once upon a morning dreary, I ventured into Scooter’s Coffee, weary. My eyes were set on a cold foam cold brew, a caffeine jolt to bid my sleep adieu. The barista, with a flair, promised a brew beyond compare, with the most limited foam, a whisper above bare.
As I awaited my brew with bated breath, the spectacle began with what can only be described as a froth theft. A dollop so small, it scarcely veiled the brew’s dark hall. It was like watching a bald man getting a haircut, fascinating yet with an outcome so abrupt.
The ice was another act, a minimalist’s pact. Light ice, they said, but the cubes were so shy, they almost fled. As if fearing a cold watery bed, they hesitated at the cup’s rim, contemplating a cold swim.
And oh! The pièce de résistance, a smiley face atop the minimal foam expanse. The cheerful doodle seemed to mock, as if saying, “Prepare for a taste shock!” The coffee beneath, alas, was nothing to cheer, a weak brew, bringing no caffeine near.
I took a hesitant sip, and my taste buds took an unfortunate trip. The brew lacked the vigor I desperately sought, leaving my coffee dreams distraught. I pushed the cup away, a full refund in mind, but alas, the reality was not so kind.
In conclusion, Scooter’s Coffee was a theatrical display, a minimalistic play, with a cold brew that barely made the day. Though the smiley face was a cute touch, the coffee beneath was not worth much. I left the place with a caffeine crave, off to find a coffee wave that could...
Read moreI had not had my coffee for the day and since I was passing by, I remembered that I had seen the shop last time I was in the area. So glad I did!
The shop is in the corner of the plaza and there is a drive thru for ordering. I heard they have an app, where you can order ahead. There is no seating.
I was greeted by a nice, friendly and welcoming barista (don't remember her name) which made my first experience much better.
I ordered a latte with oatmilk and it was delish! Not only was it balanced and creamy, but the coffee did not taste burnt or bitter! I was impressed and sure made a difference!
Aren't their cups and the little smiley sticker cute? That sure is unique and made my day!
I would live if they bring a shop closer to my area! I will stop by in the meantime if I am...
Read moreI frequent Scooter's because it's in route to work. I get the Matcha Tea made the same way unless I add a new flavor (vanilla, coconut, etc), normally suggested by an employee because they had become familiar with me. I was very pleased with the service especially from the cashier (Leslie) who is awesome. Recently that experience has changed after my drink was incorrect for the fourth time. I made a call and was told I needed to bring the drink back in order for a new one to be made. This is after I informed the employee/manager, I was at work and did not get off until 4pm. She said I still needed to bring the drink back to get a new one. No need because I will not return to Scooter's. Customer service is a priority for me and when there is lack of, it's a...
