Caddyshack Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Oakland

We've been here a half-dozen times and while it's an improvement over what was here before and the staff is fantastic, they haven't decided if this is a bar or a nice restaurant. It feels like a bar, with live music, high-tops, and a bar atmosphere, but the new menu has prices that look a whole lot like the nicer restaurants in town. I have a hard time paying fine dining prices while shouting over (loud) live music and watching TV during dinner. Either way would be fantastic and a great addition to the area, but it's confused right now. Like amost every place in the area, there's very little here for non-meat eaters, which is disappointing--a Beyond burger or a simple pasta would be a great addition.

Hidden gem! The place was packed. Had to grab a dirty table because the servers were so swamped but am so glad we did. Server came over took drink order and food.
