No nonsense cafe. Find a spot and sit the heck down. If you are in Oakland in the morning, make time to get you a great and cost effective breakfast at Fong's. That place is an instatution. I'd suggest calling in a to go order, but its way worth sitting down and enjoying a cup of coffee there. Sit on the far left of the counter if you want to eat your eggs below two ledgends.

Cafe la fongs is definitely a must try, although you cannot sit down to eat , it is a hearty meal that combines American food with Asian fusion it’s savory and delicious with plenty of rice to spare . The egg is soft and not over cooked and ingredients blend well definitely the green onions was a good add on

Friendly staff and fast service. I ordered the fried pork chops with scrambled eggs, and english muffin. FYI they’ve been serving up delicious home style breakfast since 1981- FYI Cash Only PS check out their combo breakfast fried rice or chow mein
