Apparently the quality has gone down since the ownership has changed. It used to be the older Asian gentleman that prepared the food. These new folks are not the same. Don't eat/but the bok choy from here, it's riddled with black small bugs! They must don't believe in Washing the greens 🤷🏽‍♀️. We took one order back, they said they would make it over. Once we got home, we noticed multiple black bugs in the new order. So this has to make us wonder, what else are they not being hygienic with? We won't be going back here. BRING CASH, Classic old school American Chinese food. This place been open for 47 years( I know because I asked the lady working behind the counter). It taste like it did when I was a small child. I visited SF from Houston and heard about this place and decided to make the trip to Oakland. Let me tell you, this is some of the best Chinese Food I’ve had in a long time. The shrimp fried rice was excellent! If you are in the area, it is worth the try. Please know it is cash only and they did not offer any wifi plugs to the customers.
