The main guy there, he’s bald and has a beard, is awesome. Great service, very friendly and makes the place feel welcoming. On the other hand, the rude food worker in the back with dyed blond hair is the worst excuse for a service worker I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. There’s a sign that says “order here” and right under it, behind the counter, were some pre-made burritios. When she walked near me and saw I was about to speak she rudely said “if you wanna order go to the bar” and I quickly just asked “I was just wondering how much these were?” Keep in mind it literally says “order here” right above these burritos so I figured she could at the very least answer a simple question. as soon as I asked, she glared at me, raised her voice and said in an aggressive, annoyed tone “like I said, go to the bar!“ then she proceeded to just walk away. It was the most unnecessarily passive aggressive interaction I have ever had with a service worker in my entire life. You could just tell how completely and utterly miserable she was, and that she enjoyed taking it out on customers who got on her nerves, even in the slightest. She ruined my entire experience at that restaurant but to be honest, I feel more bad for her. she must absolutely hate her miserable life....

I really enjoyed the burger and the chips. The salsa was bland (pico de gallo) but they also had alternative hotter salsa which was great!
The tacos were good, the carnitas was a bit on the cafeteria side of flavor but the presentation and the amount of food was decent.
Service was typical for an airport, not bad but also not like a sit down restaurant. They did forget to add a side of guac we purchased and they gave it to me fairly quick.
They do offer soda fountain with Coke Zero on tap which was really good.
Lastly, for price - again you're in the Bay Area in an airport. It's going to be pricey. For two of us without alcohol and...
Read moreIf you're ever at the OAK airport, right next to gate 29 is a really good spot to eat. Calavera is a Mexican spot that was amazing good. I ordered the deal of the week.
The two tacos were really good and just enough of a mess to eat with your hands. The fresh chips and salsa was on point. I really wasn't expecting it to be that good.
The customer service was top notch and welcoming. Alot of people around and laughter at the bar. Seems like the people working there took the time to enjoy all the traveler going in and out.
Really recommend going there if you ever have a 5hr layover like I did. I know I'll probably end up going back knowing the food...
