Subway — Restaurant in Oakland

If I could leave this location a ZERO I would. My daughter waited in line for 15 mins so I could sit down in Subway’s eating area since I am recovering from knee surgery. My receipt shows that her sale was transacted at 7:43:50. As she approached the seating area ANTONIO came out from behind the counter and started yelling, literally YELLING at me that they were closed and we couldn’t eat there. Mind you there were (2) other groups of people eating there (1) of which had arrived after I had sat down. I pointed that out to Antonio who really didn’t care, and based on his tone and demeanor has no idea what customer service looks like. I know it’s the airport and you are limited to eateries at the airport but come on, really YELLING at customers? Even more enraging was when I checked their hours online the Subway at Oakland Airport Terminal 2 closes at 8:30pm not 7:43pm. ...

I was really frustrated to arrive at this Subway after a long flight, and expect to eat... only to find that they had already dismantled all the food and closed by 8:32, almost a half hour before the published closing time of 9pm.

I asked the employee (who was locking up) if they close at 9. He said yes, but since Burger King next door was closing early, they decided to close early.

I like Subway, and would like to give this one good reviews... but you can't review food that you can't get, because employees close before...

Literally the worst subway. So so so skimpy on everything. The meatball sub was dry. I asked for them to put sauce on it and they were so bugged. And then put some on and it was barely anything. I ordered a sandwich and they just didn’t make it. I realized it when I got to the cashier as we had a a few sandwiches. Had to go back in a very long line. Super frustrating experience. Then the guy who seemed like the manger asked us for a tip? Are you kidding me? Your tip… be prepared. Be polite....
