The concept is really neat and fun. The setting could be better. Better seating and needed some cleaning while I was there. I ordered a coffee and a slice of pizza. The pizza comes from the pizza factory part of the store but no one mentioned how long it was going to be. And the staff wasn't the friendliest or the most helpful, at least not all of them. My coffee was ready 10 minutes before I even got up to ask about the pizza and the only person behind the counter said that he was making the pizza fresh and would be another 3 minutes. I ordered 1 slice. I noticed another woman in and out asking about her order from before I even ordered my coffee and eventually she just sat down and waited. After about another 5 minutes the guy brought each of us out our 1 slice a piece. It was definitely good but the way they made it sound while I was getting my coffee was a lot quicker and I hadn't planned on finishing my coffee in the store waiting for a slice of pizza with a friend before we went to an appointment together but that's what I did. And it was good. The coffee was a little basic but still not bad if a tad overpriced but that's Oakland for you. I will definitely go there again and try something else probably but when I have more time on my...
Read moreThese horrible people messed up my order. I ordered the build your own breakfast burrito that had eggs listed as one of the options, which I did not select. I specifically customize my order to make it vegan. I have three or four bites before I realized there was egg inside. I called the place to politely explain what had gone on and they said that it was my fault because egg is a mandatory ingredient. If that was true, why is it listed? If I selected egg would they give me double egg...? I called twice to try and get this solved. The first time the lady hung up on me, the second time she gave me a bogus reason and I could hear her laughing in the background. I am never ever coming here again. I really wanted to support a local business but this is absolutely ridiculous. One woman who works there did call me back and apologize and said that she would give me a refund, but I would have to physically go there to get the refund for some random reason. She said she would call me when the owners got there to see if she could give me a refund. She tried to give me another burrito, but I said I don't want that shit. I want my money back for...
Read moreI come here almost daily as someone who works from home on my computer. It is located in "Seminary Point" a newly developed commercial area with a Walgreens, Eyelab, and MetroPCS store with 2 more retail spaces yet to be filled at the time of this writing.
I find this place to be more affordable than the Starbucks' of the world and of comparable quality. Aside from the coffee items you'd expect in the typical hot, iced, and ice blended varieties (with the ice blended items being more of a sweet treat comparable to Starbuck's frappucinos), there are also lemonades, teas, and a few other non-coffee items such as the avocado smoothie. They serve small breakfast items (egg croissant sandwiches, breakfast burritos, etc.), and lunch items (pizza, BBQ Chicken Quesadilla, Spicy Chicken Quesadilla, Cheesy Chicken Sandwich, etc.), as well as a variety of snacks.
There are some outlets available inside the newly built structure carrying a modern feel.
All in all, this is my go to coffee shop for my morning fix of coffee or a craving for one of their ice...
