Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Oakland

THIS LOCATION ROCKS - depending on who is working the drive thru.

I generally visit in the evenings after a hard days work. I have only used the drive through.This is the ONLY fast food place where I actually look forward to seeing the drive through specialists. (two in particular are exceptional because they): • They seem authentic • They know the menu • They ask the correct questions to navigate you through your order • They keep the line moving quickly • The portions match the TV commercials • The food (in all my recent experiences here) has never been cold, burnt, skimpy and sub-standard.

This place is a diamond in the rough. the prices are incredibly reasonable (UNLIKE KFC that says things are 5.00 on the commercial, but in store they charge 5.99 or 6.99...not cool KFC, not cool at all).

The location is not in the prettiest part of Oakland, but the service is OUTSTANDING. I hope they never get rid of the "boneless wing bash (with fries, no drink). I get this with mardi-gras mustard dipping sauce, Cajun sparkle seasoning packet... One of the guys actually has my order memorized. Kinda cool, right? That kind of thing helps when you're tired and hungry and you forget to order a condiment only to realize, he knew what you wanted and its already in the bag? Its the little things that make a world of a difference. I could go on and on about this place...

It's fried chicken. Its hardy side dishes. Its handsome faces with nice smiles taking your order, and food service that is definitely above the rest. Thank you to the manager and thank you to my drive...

This is the second time that I have been to this location and they have screwed up my order. Tonight, on March 26th I arrived at the drive through and ordered a 3 piece. 2 breast and one wing combo with the biscuit, mashed potatoes and gravy in the Sprite. They told me they had no classic wings. And both of the breasts were supposed to be classic, so that's okay. Give me a spicy wing.
