Fish King — Restaurant in Oakland

Now this is WHAT I'm talking about!!!! It's hard to find halal fried chicken and even more difficult to find amazing halal fried chicken!

Now this is located in a very small parking lot next to human hair weaves and little Caesars. Now as you walk in, it looks like one of those cash and check places where they have a whole pane of glass/hard plastic between the kitchen/register and the customer area. There are only like a two tables and high bar table also.

Honestly you would most likely want take out here or maybe try a little bit of chicken while it's hot and fresh before you go!

You have a slew of options from fried fish, shrimp, prawns, chicken, catfish, tilapia, red snapper, sole fish, oysters, chicken wings and hoagie sandwiches. I ended up ordering the 16 piece chicken with fries and a hoagie chicken/steak/chicken sandwich.

Now with fried chicken, it will take a while about 15-20 minutes but that's okay if it means you'll get the best quality that you can.

Now they hooked it up with the fries!!!! like there was so much!!!!!!! The fried chicken was crispy with just the right amount of oil. The meat was tender and hot. The herbs and spices in this chicken made the flavor come out so much more and it was anything but plain! The fries were seasoned just right so it didn't feel like normal fries.

I also ordered the Hoagie sandwich which is $6.80 and added chicken and steak and hamburger and the total went to $12.96 or so. Now for those of you that are wondering, they hook up the meat even if you choose one meat so I'd suggest to get one meat and if you need to, then order another sandwich with another meat that'll be the same price as ordering all three. Now for the sandwich, it was amazing. I loved the way they cooked the meat and it was tender yet juicy and it really combines with the veggies and the fried onions they put on there. Kind of like a Philly cheese steak honestly.

I really don't like a lot of fried chicken places because they are forgettable, burnt, unflavored, meh or just a regret. If you really want awesome Louisiana style chicken then come here! The price and the amount of food you get is insane! Will be...

I grew up eating down south cooking, as I was raised by my Grammy. One thing I miss eating is eating fried fish w/that cornmeal coating! I grew up on catfish and Buffalo fish. Nowadays. While attempting to visit my regular fish spot, I discovered they had closed. I passed up Fish King on international, many of times. I decided to try them out. Upon arriving, I found the establishment to be inviting. The staff are friendly, informative, and patient (as I looked at the menu for a long time). While I grew up on catfish, I no longer consume it. I prefer snapper. Thankfully, Fish King offers a few different types of fish. I ended up ordering a large combo (4-way) with fried chicken wings, prawns, oysters, and snapper on top of a bed of fries. I must say, this place is fire!! The flavor is great, and the food is not greasy. The man helping me offered various sauces, and even chatted with me for a moment. I was surprised that they offer a beverage with the combos (water/soda). The customers that frequent this establishment are from various cultures and walks of life. They obviously know where to go for great food. Aside from seafood options, they have chicken, burgers, and more. I highly recommend Fish King. I have visited this establishment twice in a week. Keep in mind that you cannot sit and eat at this establishment. You order through a glass window, and you can see staff constantly working. They all practice good hand hygiene, and follow contactless Covid...

You were pleasant and😂 communicative. The wait was medium i toured the mini mall. What your web advertised online menu-low prices and selection was not true. The quanity match with other Fish/Chicken eatery was not enough consider the price and side entries. But overall both food items were medium cooked including the sides and taste good. With Covid19 no ones to get attacked my beggers, solicators or loiters. Keep up the good work and you might come up with a menu week or weekend special that matches the menu post.

The street traffic was all the way down by the Grand Ave Lake bumper to bumper, as well as, the surrounding residential parking-advisory warning, also the off wall signal lites-confusing, street driving lines-caution. Its thoughing off -map quest, also.

If you arent good at multitasking then stay away from "international boulevard" it seem to be someone driving optical course and experiment. Yes, driving and parking is that bad, a accidents ready to happen.🚥

I did enjoy the neat, organized bueaty supply store next door, heavy guarded: you're missing neon, mood braids and kinky braid color selections other black/brown, not a fade. The holidays are creeping up whether you agree with it or not. Start Early💅
