Shogun Restaurant — Restaurant in Oakland

Very disappointed. My daughter and I ate here a few weeks ago. It was absolutely delicious. The best Chinese I have had in a while. We do not even live in Oakland, but because it was so good when we ate there a few weeks ago I decided to get take out for dinner tonight. I ordered Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and Hunan chicken. It was all very delicious, but please tell me why it was all spicy, with red pepper flakes in all dishes? My daughter’s mouth was on fire after eating dinner tonight! Orange chicken and Mongolian beef are not supposed to be spicy! The orange chicken dish was also downsized from what was ordered in the restaurant a few weeks ago. And the Hunan chicken was missing zucchini, as it had this in it the first time I ordered it, and I’m trying to figure out why there were not green onions in the Mongolian beef too? 1st time visiting this restaurant a week ago!! All I can say is , WOW!! The food was phenomenal!!! We had dishes and sushi!! All tasted great! They put their own take on traditional hibachi food. It's one of the best Japanese restaurants I've dined at. It's in a shopping center, so you'd think it's just another hibachi joint. But it's far from that! My experience is only with takeout due to my long hours at work but I've never had a complaint. They are patient enough to deal with me wanting all of their chicken 30 minutes before they close so that's incredibly nice of them. Everything that I order comes out fresh and is really tasty. My body often demands Asian food on a weekly basis so this place is a go to for sure. It's so nice to have people that aren't rude each time you call in or stop by!
