Subway — Restaurant in Oakland

THE WORST SUBWAY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!! As I walked in a small man child of an employee (short white male with a pepperoni face of acne) decides to talk to his coworker about “if more people show up then I’m just leaving I don’t care” from there I start giving my order trying to ignore his ignorance. I start with “for the first one I would like Italian” not saying Italian herbs and cheese and then he pulls out white bread so I tell him “no, it was supposed to be Italian” from there 22+ yo man child says “you should have said that then! You see the difference? This is Italian and this is Italian herbs and cheese “ but with any common sense he would know what I was talking about. I used to work at a sub shop and could clearly tell the difference of what people wanted without them saying the full name or not saying the real name due to simply not knowing. This man then decides to do it his way and ask for everything all at once, which is okay, but his demeanor and tone showed he had zero respect for the people helping pay his wages. Once he got to making our food he throws everything on the three sandwiches in huge amounts and with zero spread or skill. These were the messiest and trashiest thrown together sandwiches I have ever received. He made the sandwiches with straight up disrespect to us and kept talking to me and my brother as if we were stupid from the very start! He would look at us with a dumb look on his face to show his displeasure that he had to WORK. Every time I have come here in the past year I have received nothing but attitude from the teenage girls that work there and the adults. I have gone to many subways and sub places and have never been shown disrespect like I have with this one. Even if you are irritated that you have to work, put a smile on your face momentarily and then talk bad if you want to when everyone is gone, I understand that this is very normal in the service industry. This time the female employees were just doing their job but this small man that is 22+ years old for sure was extremely aggravated and did not want to do his job properly. If you are older than someone that is about to graduate university I suggest you get a real job for adults or go to a trade school! This man was the essence of what not to do as an employee in food service and the tutorial of how to get fired and not receive tips. He’s lucky I tend to avoid confrontations nowadays or else I would have asked for a manager and corporate immediately, so with that being said this is how I am confronting this so that anyone that reads this can understand what they will get into when they go to this subway. That man needs to be taught a lesson and I hope his employer sees this. He is not worthy of that job and his work ethic/performance is equal...

I went to subway late Sunday Night around 8:45 ish and honestly I thought the two young girls were going to be a little mad because 1. I was coming in right before they close and 2. I was very particular about how I wanted my pizza made. THEY WERE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE! They were both nice, I wish I could remember their names but they were awesome and the food was perfect! Literally no complaints. Fast forward to Monday night, I came in around the same time and ordered the EXACT SAME THING! Only difference is the lady I was dealing with had the audacity to take 3 pepperonis and CUT them into small slices ! I asked her if she could use more pepperoni because there is no way 3 pepperonis can cone an entire pizza! She claims that it’s extra! She puts LITERALLY A SPRINKLE OF CHEESE on the pizza and again I ask, can you put more cheese on my pizza? Again she says it’s extra! Keep in mind I come in and order the same thing all the time now all of a sudden it’s extra? I asked her to double Cook it and she “warmed it” twice because the pizza was still doughy ! I pretty much walked away with only bread and a lot of spinach on my pizza! Yuck I could’ve made that at home for free! Also I asked her if they sold sugar cookies and she lied and said yes only to give me snickerdoodle cookies! They were hard and disgusting! I threw them away without eating them! I hate I wasted my money!!! I should’ve just walked out after I watch her cut the freaking pepperoni in small pieces! I wish I would’ve gotten her name as well because I would proudly blast it on this review! She was a skinny Caucasian older woman with missing teeth! Worst pizza and worst service and I definitely won’t be back...

The dinner of dismay. If I could give a zero star I would. Me and my family ordered two separate meals. Four sandwiches in total, two separate orders we placed online. Three out of the four had the wrong bread, toppings were mixed into each others sandwiches we didn’t know who was eating whos sandwich. It sounds funny but really it was such a disappointment lol. The sandwiches were a mess and obviously not what we ordered. If it was just one mistake, like the wrong bread or just onions that would be one thing, but it was one thing after another we kept realizing was wrong with our meals. I was supposed to have provolone cheese and they gave me pepper Jack cheese. My husband ordered herb and cheese bread and got wheat. My mom ordered white bread and got the Italian herb and cheese. My mom’s friend ordered mustard on his sandwhich and got ranch. We ended up picking our entire sandwiches apart and switching toppings. Might as well just work at subway ourselves.
