Yummy Yummy Hibachi — Restaurant in Oakland

Never in my 38 years I've ever had such a horrible experience ordered the garlic noodles and sushi when I opened the garlic noodles I smelled mold my wife smelled mold she thought we might have been tripping she went to taste the noodles immediately tasted mold spit it out almost threw up had to clean her mouth out grab the food took it back and really ordered a refund they had to call the owner I spoke with the owner expressed my problem with the food that was ordered his immediate reaction was to blame us for not liking the food and saying that is our fault that we did not like the taste of the food, that we didn't know how parmesan cheese is supposed to taste. then proceeded to try to bully us into having to take the food saying that he would not give a full refund will only give a refund on the noodles and that we had to take the rest of the food because they were not going to throw it away and that if we got sick that it was on us and we should just go to the hospital then he proceeded to try to name drop a health department worker named Antonio saying that that individual and health department can "verify them". Then spent the next 5 to 10 minutes trying to insult and belittle was as if we were not important in the fact that we spent our money didn't matter and that he was not going to refund us for the horrible quality of food that was inedible and very much so could have got to sick, and the unacceptable service. Rather than doing has any proper owner would have done in asked to replace the item with another item or to give a refund and to ask us to come back to retry it the experience at another time and say it would probably be better than instead we were treated with complete discontent unprofessionalism insulted has a customer which I've never had done. I not only don't recommend this place to anybody to go eat but I recommend that this place needs...

From the moment we walked into Yummy Yummy, I knew we were in for a treat. We arrived right as they were opening, but the staff was already warm, welcoming, and ready to serve. The atmosphere alone deserves praise—bright, airy, and full of good vibes. They had the doors open, giving the whole place an indoor-outdoor feel that instantly set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Loved it.

And that’s before we even get to the food. Chef’s kiss! Hats off to the kitchen—every dish was seasoned to perfection and came out piping hot, ready to enjoy. You can truly taste the care that goes into every bite.

Special shoutout to our waitress Laura, who was nothing short of amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made our first time here memorable. She checked in on us often, walked us through the specials, and made sure everything was just right. Give that woman a raise—and the chef too!

If I could give the service a zero I would. We were not greeted when we arrived. My family 3 adults and 2 school-aged children were told we could order Togo by the bartender. No hello , hi. welcome, nothing. We never planned on being sat down in the first place, we were excited to see the menu of sushi that's why we came in. However after we were told we would need to order togo, we then needed to locate menus. I passed them around to my family because I guess we were not good enough to receive an ounce of customer service. As we had come to a decision on our sushi orders and was telling the timid waitress, a very large man walks in and tells the bartender we cannot be sat we needed to order Togo. At this point I was fed up with their rudeness and decided to not spend My money there. I am completely disgusted with the customer service here. I was excited about the new restaurant but I guess it's not for people that look like me...
