Food has outstanding potential, I’ve actually suggested it to many ppl but unfortunately everytime i order my order is wrong. They’ve offered credit after credit but i just want my order to be right, I can afford a sandwich. Not sure where the disconnect happens every single time, i even begged the guy the one time & explained to him that my orders always wrong and he still forgot the two simple toppings (lettuce & tomato) that i asked for. It sucks to not want to go back because I enjoy the menu but i do not have enough mental capacity to deal with my order being wrong a fourth time in a row. Then today i ordered a “brooklyn chopped cheese” & at first it came wrapped in foil but when they had to add the lettuce and tomato they just put it in a white platter the second time around. Everyone who has eaten an authentic chopped cheese knows that you wrap it in foil straight off the grill & i tried to inform the manager Katie in which she informed me a chopped cheese is just chopped up ground beef. No love, there’s a way to do it especially if youre naming it after Brooklyn. So unfortunately she didn’t understand my frustration that at first it came correct but since my order had to be modified because it was wrong it was given back to me totally wrong. Read moreTried a few weeks ago to order .. phone kept ringing and ringing .. not abnormal for this place , everyone kinda knows you gotta keep calling to you get someone . Cool no problem . Got picked up and hung up on twice .. when I finally got someone ( John ) I said hey I’m not sure what happened but I got hung up on twice .. “ we’ll you got us now what do you want “ . I didn’t order that night and just said never mind and hung up .

Ordered over the phone - girl was blah on the phone and rushed but when your busy your busy I didn’t mind that .. expect when I went in to pick up the food . The girl couldn’t hear a customer on the phone and just put her on hold and asked John ( manager ) for help hearing her . His answer was just “ hang up on her “ . I should have known better than to pay for my food with that attitude towards customers but I did anyways since I already ordered it .
While waiting John yelled at two employees over something stupid . I asked for a refund at this point .
Remaining calm I said I didn’t like the way he treats employees and his response was what do you want . I said a refund , his answer was “ good “ .

Read moreI have to say this is one of my favorite spots in town. I have been getting sandwiches from here, and even bringing them across state lines to my friends who also want them. I also love the bar/restaurant side it’s perfect for sports games.
Now, I don’t know a lot about how things work on the backend, but this would be a five star review if not for a recent experience, I had while ordering from them through Grubhub. Please excuse my mini rant:
I have Grubhub plus and have never had an issue, but yesterday they dropped off the wrong order to my house. When I called Amato, they apologized, but told me they could do nothing. Then they told me that they usually tell their customers not to order through Grubhub, that I should have ordered with them directly, and that grub hub always messes up their orders, which is why they hate them. While I emphasize, in my opinion I feel that wasn’t a professional response back to a customer. I got my refund from GH within five min of me contacting them. My stance is that if you’re having issues with a delivery service and you want your customers to use the delivery service at your actual restaurant provides, then disassociate with Grubhub don’t...
