I had some great food at this place, but I was highly disappointed that there was not one staff member who was wearing a mask. I certainly was the oddity in the whole building, being one who was wearing a mask, as they do not require them for their customers, either That being said, let me tell you about the delicious food. My friends and I ordered the garlic cheese bread. It was five, maybe six good size pieces of Italian bread with their garlic butter and what they call “StL pizza cheese”, which is Provel, of course. It was served with a slightly sweet marinara sauce that was really pretty good. Friend #1 got the 12” Frank’s Special Delight pizza which had hamburger, pepperoni, big pieces of bacon, onions and peppers. I did not have any, but my friend sure liked it! It did look amazing, I will say. I shared the Cod Piccata with Friend #2. I’m glad I shared it, because it was a large portion. The waitress was good enough to split the order, giving us two beautiful plates of this dinner - lightly breaded cod in the lemon caper sauce - and it was just the right size and quite delicious. This came with their house salad, which was really pretty darn big (even being split) and very tasty. It had raw mushrooms in it, and I didn’t think I would like them, but mixed with everything else in the salad they were quite acceptable. The dressing was slightly sweet, but totally excellent and it was just a good salad. It also came with a side of cavatappi (in a light white sauce), which was ok, but nothing to write home about - I took it home and will pile on some cheese for lunch later this week, and it will be fine. So there you go, not totally comfortable with the lack of Covid precautions in the building, but their food was good.

The food was very good, looked and tasted delicious. Lunch portions were very nice, enough left over to take home. All the food at our table looked tasty. I had the lunch special Pasta Bolognese with a huge meatball.... very good. The bread was warm and fresh. You even got either soup or salad with the special. Great deal. I would have rated overall higher but our waitress looked overwhelmed. She did not return to refill any sodas, we waited quite a bit for our entrees after we've all finished our soup or salad, then waited for to go boxes, waited for checks, then waited for debit card receipts. We were also crammed into 4 tables with 6 on each side, with no elbow room to enjoy our tasty meal, one more table would have solved that problem. I will add, we were a large group, but there was another server helping her. It was at lunch time but the restaurant was not overly busy. I hope this isn't the normal wait times for service here because it's a nice place with very good food and we'd like to try it again.

Won't be back! This place had been good as far back as I can remember. This is not the case anymore. I ordered takeout from the south county location and they told me it was going to take 45 minutes. I show up after about 30 minutes and am instructed to go to the window under the clock in the back. I try to make my way back there and apparently this is where they are selling gift cards as well. After about 40 minutes I finally made it to the window. I pay for my food and head out. At this point my food has probably been sitting for about 45 minutes. I get home and start to make a plate... The sauce had turned into chunky gritty paste with 0 flavor. I attached a picture of the pasta. It was disgusting... A frozen dinner would have been better. I wrote a letter to Gianino's about my experience and waited 3 weeks. I still have not heard back so I am here telling everyone. Avoid this place. You can get much better pasta else where for the $60 bucks its going to cost you there.

Walked in to have a quick drink at the bar while we waited for some friends to arrive. The hostess, a blonde, heavy set, older woman looked at my wife and I like we had the plague. She was pretty rude and gave we us a dirty look. I continued on to the bar and ignored her. Hoping the rest of the meal goes fine..... Update: While we were waiting the woman got ignorant with another customer and tried to take his takeout order away, she lunged at his bag and tried to take it from his hands. The man was quite offended. I'll let you know how the rest of the meal goes. As we sat there a bit longer two more women came in to be seated after waiting 15 minutes they started to get impatient, I motioned to them that the hostess was on the other side of the dividing wall answering a phone call. The women continued to wait and were relieved a bit. After five more minutes of the hostess jumbling around at the little desk, one of the women came around the wall and asked the hostess if they should just seat themselves. What happened next I have never experienced and hope I never do. The hostess snapped at the woman, she bitterly exclaimed that she was answering the phone. The two ladies were clearly shocked by the rudeness of the hostess. We then continued on and had an amazing meal, the servers and wait staff did a wonderfull job. The food was delicious and the meal overall was basically perfect.

The hostess though, this person is the face of your company. In less than a half hour she has clearly offended 3 customers. That is one every ten minutes. If she continues this, she stands to severely offend 50 customers a day, around 300 per week. If each of these customers would average a $50 tab, she could lose you $15,000 per week. In a nutshell she is a...

I called on Saturday Aug 1 at about 4:50 P.M. to place a to-go order. The website states that they open at 3:00 P.M. but I get that its COVID and things are weird so whatever. The person who answered immediately asked if I could hold. Sure, no problem. About 2 minutes later, the person who picked up asked if she could help me. "I want to place a to-go order." She said (so quickly and rudely that I had to ask her to say it again because I couldn't hear her the first time) that they don't open until 5:00 P.M. (which is now in about 7 minutes). I asked if she could just take my order now and I could pick up when its ready? She said no because their computers are not on yet. I would have to call back at 5:00 P.M. I waited until EXACTLY 5 and call back. Again, The person who answered immediately asked if I could hold. Sure, no problem. This time, I literally was on hold for 6 minutes (phones track your call times). The same rude woman finally picked up and asked if she could help me. "I want to place a to-go order." This time she told me that to go orders were running behind and would take AN HOUR AND A HALF TO PREPARE. How is that possible since you just opened and you just turned your computers on? I did not order from Gianinos that night nor will I ever order from...
