We could not tell from previous reviews whether this restaurant was only adult friendly or family friendly. So we called and asked; and they assured us it was family friendly. We proceeded to try it with two children under six: Ambience: the taphouse is bar LOUD. They have four low tables and the rest are high tops. They have two regular height high chairs. When we first arrived a high top was all that was available thankfully a family left and we were able to switch to a low top and then when our food arrived, another family had left and we were able to snatch a high chair. Beverages: the only thing child appropriate was water; they did have cups with lids and straws. The beer menu was great. Food: we got sheet pan nachos with bratwurst and fried zucchini for the children, fish and chips and the royale burger for adult meals. Five-year-old ended up eating fish and chips without the breading. Two year-old ended up eating fried zucchini. The chips both on the pub nachos and the fish and chips were extremely salty whereas the zucchini had very limited seasoning. The zucchini came out piping hot and had about a five minute window before it was then soggy limp inside the fried breading. Pretzels and cheese appetizer. From an adult perspective all the food was very tasty. Overall Family Friendliness: There were several other families. There are two arcade games and a selection of card games like uno. Waitstaff was friendly. We enjoyed it but will probably return as adults only until our...

I had to give it at least one star to write a review. My husband and I came in around 6pm and sat at the bar. There were only a handful of other patrons in the restaurant. We decided to order a “flight” of beers without any input or direction from the bartender. With the amount of beer on tap, some knowledge of the selection would be helpful, but was not provided. We waited for 10 minutes for our flight (our first drink, no water was offered) and decided we should order our food and second round at the time since service seemed to be slow. The bartender was also waiting on the resturant as well so was rarely at the bar. Our food arrived and was burnt and not what we expected at all. All while we were eating, we had nothing to drink and was never approached about our food or needing anything else. While we were dining (1 1/2 hours) 10... TEN! beer taps went dry. I would not recommend this bar because of food, beer...

Dissapointing experience. Take-out dinner for the family. Overcooked, dry burgers. Chewy, beef-jerky textured Reuben sandwich. Potato pancakes were also a bit dark, not certain if the oil is not fresh or if they were also overcooked. I normally call and give them a verbal chat about such an experience before posting a negative review, but this is the 2nd time that we experienced this and didn't learn our lesson. I did call them about this last time to ensure that they are aware. Their kitchen is either inconsistent or has lost their way. They were better when this business was still...

If we don't make it home in time for an early dinner this is the place for us. Never a big crowd. Always a great selection of beer. Not a huge selection of food but everything has been great. Staff is always polite and helpful and friendly. A great go to place for drinks and lunch or dinner. Another Friday night, another reason for this to be our go-to. The big selection of taps means we can sometimes make some poor choices, but that is what flights are all about. Big salad with chicken, fish and chips, two flights with no losers this time around just reinforces our 5-star review.
