Fantastic Staff, that is always pleasant and NEVER rude. The staff often knows my drink order, as well as other regulars before we even get to the counter to order. The coffee is now a locally provided. Even on the busiest time, the staff is quick and rarely has a back up unless some one like S.E.S. decides to be rude to the staff. U.D. students often flock here during the College school year, and only during peak hours is it a small task to find a seat, not being taken by extra book bags. I have seen book clubs, Sewing group and others gather at this local spot for a nice drink and some fresh pastries from Ashley's Pastry Shop in Oakwood. Another great thing about Tastefully Roasted is the ability for local artists to hang and sell art in the coffee shop. The new paint scheme make the entire place a bit more awake.
Only concern is that 1-2 of the leather chairs are starting to get worn out from customers dropping heavy item on the seats.
The review by S.E.S. is probably because they are a typical entitled person, that would rather give a coupon than a tip to the hard working staff. ( i have read their other reviews and they gave 2 negative reviews on service industry locations and a positive for a golf club ) The comment that I would tip if i saw a tip jar is false, because there is always a tip jar in the window.
When I use my credit card to pay for a drink the computer screen prompts a tip to be added. The staff is not RUDE or greedy. That is how the new system is set up. Thanks to one bad review the staff now has to hope that drive thru costumers are smart enough to offer a tip that is not just a few nickels...
Read moreSo I got up early to get some tea at a new shop that my friend suggested said they had really good tea options. I am normally really shy when I go into new places cause I don’t know what to expect. I was really nice and everything and got some type of tea. I asked if they had honey I’m not sure if they put it into the order. It could’ve been my fault because I probably didn’t say to put it in not good making orders when I go to places that have you make your own at the table. When I got my order, the drink was way too hot to where it was burning my fingers even with a cover I know I’m not a lot of coffee shops understand that tea should not be as hot as coffee so I asked for a cup of ice. Once my tea was cooled down, I took a sip instead of me tasting tea. I am literally tasting saltwater. I did try and take a few more sips just to make sure that it wasn’t the tea being too strong but sure enough it was saltwater. I don’t know why the employees decide to do that especially to a new person. To be honest, it kind of felt like they were trying to get a demon out because I am wearing all black and emo. It did give me the feeling of an exorcism. So I got my money back and left. If I known that this place would judge people by what they look like I wouldn’t have come. Maybe in a few months I’ll try again. Would really like to know why...
Read moreI'm new here and this is my 3rd time coming because I really like(d) it. It doesn't beat my Hometown Coffee Exspressions. But I came back and my orders pretty simple white chocolate with peppermint sometimes coconut w oat milk. Never changes always the same. and easy mocha drizzle around the cup with whip on top. she put white chocolate on top of the whip nothing around the cup and then I told her. I wanted an easy mocha drizzle round the cup and she just said well. I put a white chocolate drizzle on it. I'm like well. It's not around the cup and I also wanted it to be dark. So she just proceeded to put the mocha drizzle on the top of the whip, at that point i just wanted to go... she was rude .. I didn't like her attitude and I'm new to the city so it made me feel very unwelcome. I'm upset it doesn't even taste like it has peppermint in. It or the expresso i paid extra for. and I'm not coming back.. I drove out of my way because I really wanted some coffee and I'm just disappointed at the service do better. It be nice to have my coffee replaced actually on a side note. Almost nine dollars for something I didn't even like. the service was bad, my hometown shop...
