For some reason, I had been craving fried chicken. As such, I had stopped in to this KFC a few times in one week. I ordered the exact same thing all three times. These are my thoughts on my visits. I went inside to order my chicken to go. I could have used the drive through window, but I prefer the more face to face experience. The dining room seemed smaller and not the cleanest. But to be fair, it wasn't filthy either. Since I ordered to go, I overlooked anything I noticed and honestly, didn't continue looking. The counter is kind of small and blocks most of the preparation areas from view. I'm not sure if this is good or bad. The good being the prep area is a little more isolated from the public. The bad is that again, the prep area is isolated from the public view. As such, it's harder to see the conditions in which the food is being prepared. It probably would be better if they didn't have a large box area dedicated to call ahead customers that blocks this and takes up a lot of room at the counter. I had a different employee wait on me each time I visited. None of them made me feel welcome. They were not nasty or anything like that. It just seemed like I was interrupting other things they had going on at the time, and I felt like I was a distraction. I think one of them might even had been a manager or supervisor. The last visit had the counter women turn her back to me as I walked up to the counter. Then she just walked away out of view into the prep area. While I waited, the crew had a good conversation going on that left me ignored and standing at the counter a good while. (I'm guessing a few minutes) Finally another employee passed by and saw me standing there. She then let the counter worker know she had a customer. I mentioned to the counter women what happened, but she assured me I was not there when I stood there and watched her turn her back and walk away from me, leaving me waiting for service. I ordered the exact same thing I had ordered twice before. Yet it seems like the price is different each time. I'm not 100% sure between the first and second time, but without a doubt, I paid more this third time. I was sure of it the third time and checked the two receipts that I had, that proved it. The difference between the two receipts was more than a dollar. I'm not sure why different visits the same week yielded different pricing for the same exact order. Maybe I had to play a nuisance tax this time? Anyway, my chicken came out fairly quick and I was on my way. I was at my destination minutes later. All three times the chicken was kind of soggy, with various amounts of skin being on (or not on) the chicken. But it did taste good. Unlike most fast food establishments in the area. It seems to me that KFC's in the Ocala area seem to have the same types of issues. Employees that seem annoyed by their customers. The chicken always seems soggy. But it normally still tastes pretty good. I guess that's why I...
Read moreWell I gave them the opportunity to call me back the next day and they did not do so so I'm going to make the review. We Went to KFC to get dinner and before I could get to the door the lady came to the door and told me oh no ma'am you cannot come in here with that big animal. he had his vest on and I had him on a leash. He is my service animal and his name is Mylo. He's a Rhodesian Ridgeback and lab mix. He helps me with my seizures amongst other things. Not only would she not let me in the door but she yelled at me and told me I could not come in there with my mutt. Once again I'm not the smartest person in the world but I know my rights and I know that this was violated and I know that this is wrong. I also know that people going around with her dog saying that they are service animals has given this stereotype however some people actually do have their animals for a reason and they do save them and they do protect them and they do help them and assist them in their daily living and survival. I for one know that I would not be alive...
Read moreOn Aug 30 around 3pm, I visited my local KFC in Ocala. I went through the drive-thru and I ordered the chicken strips by themselves with barbecue sauce. The male employee who was at the window led a big belch when he opened the window right in front of me. He proceeded to take my card and did not tell me the amount he was charging me, and gave me the card back with the food. I was in a hurry so I had no time to check the food or anything. When I got home, the chicken strips were 90% breading and a paper thin amount of chicken. Also, one of these chicken strips was broken in half so I actually received two and a half strips. He charged me $9.30 just for the strips with no meal. I believe this employee stole from me and I have called the corporate number and also send them a message through the KFC website. All I got was someone from India who can barely speak English and also canned emails just offering me a voucher. Totally unacceptable. Avoid this location the employees are dishonest and the food is...
