Coastal Creations OCMD — Restaurant in Ocean City

Within walking distance for us so we decided to give it a try. Buy 1 get second half off food and drinks was a bonus. Service was fantastic, very attentive. We thought the menu was limited, not sure if that was because it was off season. Margaritas were very good. Had the shrimp tacos, 3 per order, good amount of shrimp on each. Nothing special with regard to flavor or ingredients. Also had a burger, ordered medium rare but served well done. Seasoned well though. Roll fell apart before I could finish the burger. Baked potato well over cooked. Bent my fork trying to scoop out the potato. A few other observations, ketchup bottle empty at out table, had to grab from another table as well as salt/pepper from another table. Low quality cutlery and napkins. Had i ordered a $40 steak I'm not sure if the utensils would have done the job. TV's way too loud. Sound projected throughout the restaurant and even outside. No energy/vibe to the place, really need to step it up a notch. I would go back and give it another try if they pay attention to the small details that make a restaurant a chosen...

Truly outstanding lunch experience! Service was prompt and friendly. We sat upstairs, outside and I enjoyed the late summer breeze. The bacon pineapple appetizer was a sweet /salty treat and I'm so glad we tried it. Mahi tacos with dueling mango salsas was a fun take on fish tacos. The chef is pretty creative and I had to try the surf & turf lasagna: beef, chicken and shrimp layers with pasta sheets in a white sauce. Yum! Got mine with a side of asparagus. No room for dessert this time, but I'll absolutely save room next time as I can only imagine the chef is just as deft at fun desserts. Overall, friendly staff, excellent food quality and a great mid beach location. It's a large space so I hope they add music, dancing or another...

Starting off with the good, our server was friendly and we received a complimentary bite-sized bacon wrapped pineapple app which was a nice touch. This and the app we ordered, the cheesesteak eggrolls, weren't bad but the entrees were terrible. Not sure how you mess up a grilled chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger but they found a few ways. The bun on the grilled chicken sandwich was completely burnt, the burger for the cheeseburger had a weird rubbery consistency, and the fries were soggy.
