My husband and I originally went to Saltwater 75 in July 2023 and liked it so much that I insisted we go back July 2025, specifically for our anniversary dinner. My husband called earlier in the day (on a Wednesday) for a reservation outside, but we were told first come first served. No big deal, we like to eat on the earlier side anyway and we were with the kids. We arrived at 5pm, much of the outside seating was pretty empty. They sat us at a 4top directly in the sun. I asked our server if it would be an issue to move to the table just across the way, more of a picnic style table that held 6 but was much shadier. We're not unreasonable people, we acknowledged we were only a 4 top but there were literally DOZENS of tables open at this point, & it was 5pm. The server told us he'd have to double check with his manager but it should be fine. He then came to move us to that shadier table, when the manager chased behind him and told him NO to the shady table, then moved us into a picnic style table, still in the sun. The kids actually took turns sitting in the shadow of a palm tree because they were absolutely baking. The tables around us, including the one in the shade, continued to go unoccupied our entire time there. I will never understand the reasoning of that manager, and she pretty much ruined our dinner.

Since it was a special occasion, I wanted to order something out of the ordinary for dinner. I decided to get the scallops & shrimp. Now I know it's 2025 and restaurant (and everything else) costs are through the roof, but at some point we have to stop normalizing ridiculous portion sizes for the amount of money we're paying. My entree was $36 and I received 3 BAY scallops, and 3 small pieces of shrimp. I did not think it was unreasonable to think I'd receive Sea Scallops for that price.

My family's food was fine, and our server was very nice and attentive, but I don't think we'd return now. We literally ate as quickly as we could to leave as we were so uncomfortably hot. The vibe is 10/10 but a family of 4 deserves some shade just as much as the table of 6-10, especially when the place is...

Atmosphere is very good. Obviously a great view on the bay. Great drinks from the bar. Nice TVs at the bar to watch sports. Got a table for dinner on the beach. First, the hostess tried seating us - a party of 3 - at a 6-seat table when plenty of 4-seat tables were open. It took a lot of discussion and, what seemed like, an approval from a manager to get seated at a 4-seat table because we were already assigned to the 6-seat table. Very strange. But okay.

Either the sand on the beach is extremely uneven, or the chairs are not the right height for the tables. We’re all average height humans and 5’9”-6’0” and our necks were basically even with the table. We could’ve just slid the food off the table into our mouths. We said something to the waitress about it, but she didn’t seem to get what was strange about it. We looked around and joked with other people who were experiencing the same issue, that the chairs were very short relative to the tables…maybe they aren’t naturally, but if they aren’t, then the sand must be so out of balance that it causes this issue.

Appetizers were okay..nothing spectacular. Seemed like standard Sysco food. Don’t think there’s any from scratch cooking going on here.

The Caesar salad is not a standard chopped-type salad…it’s large leaves of Romaine, which is fine…but it’s served on a flat plate. So while I was trying to cut up the Romaine lettuce leaves to make it into a chopped salad so that I could eat it, three of the leaves slid off the plate and onto the sand. Ugg. Either chop the salad, or serve it in a bowl.

Saltwater 75 is another Ropewalk…bayside good atmosphere for water view and sunsets with decent drinks and average (at best) bar food. The tourists with young kids will love...

Chill Vibes and Great Eats at Saltwater 75 in Ocean City

If you're in Ocean City, MD, you’ve got to check out Saltwater 75. This spot sits right on the bay, so the views are incredible, especially from the rooftop. And don’t worry about parking—there’s plenty of it, and you can even make reservations. Saltwater 75 has three sections to hang out in: a cozy inside area that’s perfect if the weather turns, a rooftop with stunning views, and a beachside spot complete with a firepit. The whole place has a laid-back, beachy vibe that makes you want to kick back and stay awhile. Plus, with three bars, you won’t have any trouble finding a good drink. I had a Moscow Mule and a mocktail with orange and pineapple—both were on point. I started with a seafood sampler that had tuna poke, shrimp, and smoked salmon. It was solid, but the real winner was the watermelon salad with grilled chicken. The salad was super fresh, and the chicken was so juicy. Definitely a dish I’d order again. The service at Saltwater 75 was awesome. Our group of eight had a pretty complicated order, but the chef came out to make sure they got everything right, which was a nice touch. To top it all off, there was live music—a guitarist playing by the firepit on the beach. It really added to the chill, relaxed atmosphere. Saltwater 75 just opened a year ago, but it’s already got everything going for it: a killer bayfront location, cool modern design, and a menu that doesn’t disappoint. If you’re in OC, this place is definitely...

This is a beautiful restaurant with property on the bay offering stunning sunset views. The outdoor area has a big bar, casual seating, music and some single hammock chairs. It’s great! I love that they serve water and drinks in mini pitchers. The inside is lovely with a regatta motif. The service was excellent. That’s where the good news stops. If they could get their act together in the kitchen, this would be a special place. The mozzarella sticks are nothing special. Just a bigger version of what the kids usually get anywhere. The Buffalo cauliflower could have been amazing. The coating and sauce were good, but the cauliflower must have been frozen because each bite was watery inside. The jumbalaya was awful. The rice was overcooked and mushy with waaayyy too many canned tomatoes and not enough seafood. My Caesar salad was drowning in cheese and dressing. I had a crab cake on top that had some kind of grit in it so I couldn’t eat it. The only meal that was halfway decent was the fried flounder sandwich. My advice would be to get drinks there and watch the sun set, then go elsewhere for dinner.

Won’t be back to eat, for sure. First, Chris, our bartender was great! Drinks were good, average price. The food… hubby liked his scallops, but I also ordered the scallops. I work around my food allergies, so I always ask if something can be changed. If not, no big deal, I order something else. In this case, I couldn’t have the potatoes or the tomato purée. No problem, they could switch the potatoes out for rice. Cool. Well, it was delivered with just rice (which was hard and undercooked) on a plate with 5 scallops around it and some lump crab between the scallops. No veggies (succotash). I thought, wow, this is terrible for $36.00. Then… we get the bill and realize that they actually charged an extra $4.00 for the rice sub. What? $40.00 for overcooked rice, scallops and some lump crab. I should have taken A picture. It was terrible. I’ll go back to drink. But definitely won’t be ordering any food there again. No, I didn’t ask to speak to a manager. The bartender was told to upcharge, so no point in that argument and aggravation. We just won’t be back.
