Nauti Donuts — Restaurant in Ocean City

I am, and have always been, very fond of my sweets. Perhaps, some would say, I am too fond of them. While most of my sweet tooth is sated by the typical fare, there are rare occasions where I find a new place to try, with an empty stomach and an open mind.

Ironically, my doctor- in an appointment I had about a week and a half ago- recommended Nauti Donuts to me, and insisted that these donuts were some of the best. So, I took a picture of the menu, and decided to come and see for myself.

It was one of my best decisions, of late.

While on vacation in Ocean City last week, I came to Nauti Donuts three times, and had several of their Nauti Dozen donuts, as well as making one of my own on my first visit. On our way home, my fiancée and I agreed that, since we enjoyed the donuts so much, we should bring home the full Nauti Dozen for her parents.

Every Nauti Donut that I have tasted was heavenly- from my customized choice to the three members of the Nauti Dozen- the Anchors Aweigh, the Seagull's Favorite, and the Salty Dog. They were, as promised, light as air, fresh, warm, and flavorful to an unbelievable degree. I will be sure to return when I revisit the Jersey Shore which, hopefully, will be next summer.

With this establishment's level of quality, it cannot come...

Surprised I haven’t left a review yet! In 2019 my family and I booked a last minute property for the week that was a bit far from the boardwalk. One morning I went for a walk and came across this gem and was dumbfounded how good they were. When you go to ocean city, there are the typical places that are on the list that you visit for nostalgia reasons and tradition.. no knock on them as they are all special but they are naturally older, darker…. And sandier (I know, I know, I’m at the beach). But you walk into Nauti Donuts and it’s bright, CLEAN, and aesthetically pleasing which is always important to me when visiting an establishment. Then you get the donuts and I just don’t have words. We usually get the nauti dozen but if I can give any advice to patrons it is to order an extra (or two… or three) of the SALTY DOG. Don’t ask questions. Just trust me. I love donuts. They are my favorite sweet treat and nauti donuts is my all time favorite. I will never let a family member, friend, coworker, or random stranger visit ocean city and not try them. I recommend them consistently and they are my favorite place to visit when there. Thank you to the owner for giving me this happiness when I am in OC. I even have this figure to remember them and the joy...

I couldn't believe that I had not yet written a review of this place. I had to share how awesome this place is. I have long been fan of traditional Ocean City doughnuts (Browns, Oves, Dot's, etc) but this place may have them all beat.

The owner, Chris, is often in the shop and makes point of greeting people and helping them navigate the menu (no pun intended). Youcan't go wrong with anything on their menu: each donut starts as a fresh, hot, fried cake donut and is then topped while you wait.

I typically go for standard icing and sprinkles donuts but my favorite at Nauti is probably the Salty Dog because it is so unique! It is their take on a Maple Bacon donut but comes with Pork Roll instead - because New Jersey.

Definitely check this place out. I think that this may be THE must-eat thing in Ocean City now. As the Boardwalk gets gobbles up by Jilly's and the other couple families that own everything, Nauti Donuts is a reminder of what Ocean City used to be: small, family-owned business sharing what they love with vacationers and...
