Think twice before you eat from this place !! We were so excited to try Victorias for dinner. Our kids really wanted clams and my family of 12 all wanted seafood. Each family placed their order and I called to confirm. Upon arrival the owner greeted us with a smart remark about being early ( which we knew we were early already the drive was much shorter than we thought ) I ignored him being rude and we sat to wait. After waiting a woman came out from the back and said they were out of clams. When I approached the counter and shared that we were just bummed because the kids really wanted them I asked what we could get as a replacement or refund ( $45) since we paid online . The owner yelled from the back that he hadn’t had clams for over three hours. Which I do not know why he didn’t just tell me that on the phone when I called to confirm my order. The owner came out flying out from the back snapping saying he is too busy for this, and what we were asking to replace was more than what the clams cost ( which we understood and said we would pay the difference, he refused to listen to us as we stated this and would just rudely turn away). As he was taking my replacement order and I asked the difference bettered two items on the menu he stopped and said “ya know what forget this, ripped and crumbled the paper he was taking the order on and threw it on the ground.” I was actually shocked at how we was talking to me, a customer who already paid and whose family spend $500 at his restaurant. After he threw the paper he walked to the back and the woman came back to the front. I asked her if he would be refunding our money or what we should do and he yelled again from the back that we needed to just wait. So we waited another 30 minutes , now at an hour from our original pick up time for our order. While we waited I heard him speak ignorantly to at least two more customers. I sat in shock at how he was speaking to paying customers When our order was done he gave us the cash refund and still was hostile and rude. Not only did we waste money we all tipped well him when placing the order online. To make all these matters worse my brother later that even became violently ill ( from the lobster tail ). He was the only one that got sick and the only one who ate the lobster. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE ! There is a great take out seafood place we went to for the clams after leaving Victoria’s right down the road...
Read moreI bought three dozen for my guests As a treat. I spent $415 bucks on the bill as it was supposed to be XL however, half of the crabs was small not even medium. Which I later found out the ads on menu was even the XL size it’s only 99 a dozen 1.5 dozen 159 but I was charged 139 a dozen at the place which wasn’t even all XL to begin with. (Look at the pictures)
We had about five of them was dead at the smell. when you when you give up on a crab because it smells, that’s when you know it’s really dead crab. My husband I waited about 1.15 minutes we had that for dinner with my guest by the time we got back to our home was time for dinner. I called back few times, There was no answer. The next day I called back for some reason there was no answer.
I left Ocean City to home in Virginia, I called back again was hoping to talk to the owner and explain to them what happened. He finally picked up and was Incredibly rude. He said all the crap he weighted himself Which was a lie because when I picked up the crabs he was no where to scale the crabs. And he said, “bring me the crabs back then we’ll talk” That’s clearly impossible after four days because everything was set and done. I kept telling him I can send you the pictures. He hung up on me. That was really rude. That reminded me how I also saw him outside talking with people with his $$$ luxury car in a cocky way. I was like, I remember now..
I love Ocean City where I spend most my summer at my second home. I like to support all our neighbor businesses but I can say right now I would not go there or recommend. I make sure I have good relationship with the blocks where I come eat hang out and chill but...
Read moreI first tried Victoria's last year on 4th of July when my niece & her boyfriend were staying with me for the week. I've had good crabs elsewhere since I moved here from Baltimore, and we all know us Baltimore folk hold high standards for our crabs. But, honestly, the choice that day was 100% because I worked all day; I work on 86th Street and live on 94th Street. It was just TOO convenient. Plus they had an amazing price special. I figured, at the price they had, the crabs would be small and maybe a little light, but if they tasted good I was okay with it because it meant not fighting holiday traffic after a long day. The crabs were good size for the price, heavy, steamed perfectly, seasoned generously, and DELICIOUS. We made crab cakes the next day with the leftovers. Fast forward to yesterday... The 2nd time I've had crabs from Victoria's, and the 2nd time I've had them in the last year (mental note: make more time for steamed crabs)... I was advised to try another location by others but something told me to just stick with MY best experience. So I called to order mediums, because that's always my go-to since mediums are almost always packed full of meat. They were sold out, though, and just had larges+, but I went with it anyway, hoping I wouldn't get light larges. My family from Baltimore was here to visit so I was under a lot of pressure. Everyone LOVED them. They were heavy and delicious! I was kind enough to send our leftovers home today for my sister's in-laws to enjoy, and just received notice that they are thoroughly enjoying them as well. The staff are all so nice, too. Very happy to have a go-to right around the corner and I highly...
