I like that they have a drive-thru, really nice when you don't want to get out of your car. Unfortunately, the drive-thru speaker box isn't very clear and considering Deiberto's sits right on Mission Avenue, it can be difficult to hear with all the traffic sounds and fire trucks blaring their horns right next to you. I think because of this, they added pico to my burrito even though I said not to.
Prices here are pretty good considering our current inflation. Many other burrito places are charging $12+ for a carne asada burrito. Deiberto's is $9.53 - such a specific price but hey, it's under $10.
The meat is okay by taste - I've had better, but the SIZE of their burritos is just freakin' massive. I mean, I almost want to say - too big? Yeah I know, don't shame me but seriously it can be difficult to hold.
We had a horchata too...pretty good, not overly sweet. But they forgot to give it to us in the drive-thru, so we had to park and walk in to get it.
Wait time is minimal too - they operate pretty quickly. Overall not too many critical things to say -...
Read moreGirl @ the speaker was rude and not patient. How was I suppose to know they don't make a "surf n turf" burrito. So we order a CA burrito (instead) and 2 chicken taco combo.
California burrito: was "stuffed" w fries and had a small lump of carne asada @ the bottom of the burrito. NO cream, no guac, no cheese, no pico NOTHING!! Just fries and meat. Not to mention the fries were NOT fresh. My husband said the burrito was tasteless and only ate half it was so bad.
Chicken tacos: the shells didn't look freshly fried more like grocery store bought shells. The shells themselves were STALE! Chicken had light red sauce but over all was VERY DRY. Again NO cheese, no cream and NO pico, nothing just lettuce. No flavor. The rice and beans were decent.
Asked for 4 green salsas and we were given 4 1 oz cups of salsa... that's like a teaspoon worth of salsa.
I thought I'd try this place cause I didn't feel like Dr to my usual spot Valerie's (1006 mission Ave) or Jose's (next to tri city hospital). I will never make that...
Read more24 hour Mexican Food place like many others in the area. Prices are still very reasonable; food is prepared quickly and is very tasty. The team they had working the night I visited seemed to all be having fun while working, even for a busy Friday night.
Basic salsa bar same as is usually seen in these type of fast food places (red or green and also hot carrots with whole jalapeños).
Pros: Plenty of seating Drive through Good menu selection (including egg dishes) Clean and well lit inside restaurant Friendly cashier Employees seemed to be enjoying themselves and getting along (sign on good management) Fresh and tasty food (refried beans are very good, which sets it apart from many other similar places) Takes cash or credit cards Mexican Drink was not watered down (many restaurants in the area do water it down)
Cons: Parking area could use more lighting, and was dirty (in a strip mall, so maybe more on owners of mall than restaurant) Rice was watery, and needed help
Overall, a place I’d recommend...
