Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Oceanside

Story time kids, settle around me. I pull up to the drive through as any other Popeyes and I’m greater by the recording, okay cool. I try and order something for myself and make a separate order for my brother, NOPE just kidding you can’t for whatever reason. Okay whatever I’ll go through this rollercoaster ride they call a drive through twice. As I get to the window I ask about their chicken sandwich and the young woman tells me what’s on it, but then informs me that I cannot order anything at the window.... okay¿ Feeling alittle let down- I remind myself I have to go through again. Well I recieve my order, the forgot the sauce and the honey I asked for... okay I’m getting alittle irritated. Go through and get the second order and ask they put the sauce they forgot in the second bag.—NOPE. They forgot again. The chicken was room temperature, and overly greasy, the service was mediocre at best, you can’t save money on a combo by just ordering the chicken without the side and the drink like the other locations, the price is higher then KFC and for what you hope to get for that price difference is a joke. I have been here several times over the past few months. The service is very slow most of the time. I like that they require customers to wear masks at the drive thru window and the chicken sandwich was great the first few times but it wasn't as flavorful the last two visits. On two visits I found a hair on my soda cup and the raspberry pie I ordered had either dirt or mold on it. I called the corporate office and reported it. I tried again after this and ended up with a spicy chicken sandwich instead of the classic. I did the internet survey and was contacted by a company rep and told to go back and use his name and get another sandwich. That sandwich was good but didn't have the same flavor. The cajun fries are good but I haven't tried anything else. I may give them another chance in the future since the chicken sandwich is the best when it's seasoned right. Purchased a family meal deal with 10 pcs of chicken. Should've included drumsticks, thighs, wings and two breasts. Instead, drumsticks were replaced with more small, mnii-sized thighs and one breast was the size of a thigh. I discovered this before I drove off. When I asked management about it, I was told they had no drumsticks and I'd have to wait 20-25 mins more for them to cook it. So which is it? You have drumsticks, but they're not ready or you really don't have it? I decided not to waste my time. If they were cutting corners from the beginning, most likely they'd be cutting corners all the way through on the final request. She refused to give a discount even though they took the liberty to shortchange me my order. The location off of Emerald and 78 is better.
