Charlie's Barbeque — Restaurant in Odenville

I read some of the reviews and I think some of the Google reviewers have their britches in a wad and are reviewing this off of personal issues vs. the restaurant as a whole. I’ve been to Charlie’s BBQ multiple times and after reading some of the 1 star reviews, it doesn’t sound like those folks could be pleased regardless of the friendliness of the staff or quality of the food. Sounds like they like to gripe. Charlie’s BBQ is fantastic and has the BEST brisket I’ve ever had (sorry Dad). My work likes to order several pounds of the brisket and sauce and then everyone just bring side dishes for random lunches in our office. We’ve done this about three times. We only get to do it during the slower work months but would do it more frequently if time permitted. My family has ate there several times. My husband and oldest son ate so many ribs one day they were miserable from overeating because they were so good. The beans are great. I haven’t had the Mac and cheese so I can’t confirm it isn’t or is homemade like one reviewer but every time else seems made from scratch so I can only assume the Mac and cheese is, too. The environment is friendly, the manager or owner is freaking awesome, and the prices are reasonable and comparable to other bbq joints. Just because you’re a cheap-o doesn’t mean giving this place a 1 star based on price is right. I’m just saying. I love Charlie’s and it’s a blessing to have it in a small town like Odenville. 5 stars from this...

The food was overall good! I had the pick two , I got ribs and wings. The wings were very good! I had asked for no sauce on my ribs bc I had never tried your sauce, this was some of my group’s first visit. The girl taking our order was so beyond rude we almost left but everyone was hungry...so... she INFORMED me that I could NOT have them w/o sauce! So...I said I’ll try them! The ribs that were not over cooked were good, but I had some that were very dry. We had 8 ppl in our group, only 3 of us had not eaten here before! But, the girl when she saw we had 8 she informed us that your tables ONLY seat 6! We went out on the deck to find seats and no one was out there so we just pulled a table out a little and borrowed 2 chairs from another table! No problem! Again there was no one else out there the entire time (a little over an hour that we were there). She even came out there at one point and was just mumbling something and actually slamming down the ketchup bottles on other tables then slammed the door as she went back in! The other 5 ppl who were with us who have eaten there several times told us she always acts like that but she was worse on this day! But, a different girl brought our order out and she was very friendly and nice. Even ppl who just came in for take out commented on the girls rudeness. The AL game was on so they came out on the porch to watch while waiting for order. They said that’s why they never eat in just order and...

I have been frequenting Charlie's for 6 years. Good food but I will not be going back for a while or if ever after having no refund or remake of a wrong order that I called about promptly. Told over the phone they would do a remake but when I got there a few days later it had been denied, I presume by the owner. They just installed a digital screen for your review so that you can cover their input mistake if necessary. If you are not paying attention, you are at fault. They don't bother to say when you have placed your order that you need to verify the correctness on the screen. Too many young people working there to take care of the customers properly. Obviously no appreciation for loyal customers by the owner...... so be it!!

Owner...after seeing your review....you don't care about customer service. I never eat tenders and never said tenders....they must be hard of hearing...no one told me there was a time-frame to get a remake...another issue with you and your employees about not stating specifics.
