Mama's Kitchen — Restaurant in Odessa

I'm sorry to say, but the food was ok, but I had a misfortune that happened while my husband and I were the only customers in the for the entire dinner hour from 6pm to 7:45pm. I accidentally left my purse and within 10 minutes I returned to get it back, and our plates was still on the table, but my purse, gone. I went to counter and was calling for someone and the cook had his hands in batter and gloves, he said, you left your purse, and I said yes, shortly after the young lady came back with it, I said thank you'll so much. As walking to my car, I looked and notice it had been gone through, immediately I looked in my wallet and all my money was gone, around 120.00, not real exact. I went back in and ask the young lady, she said there was no money there I told her yes there was, asked for manager and the cook came out and said he was the manager and he was the one who retrieved it, wow,, I said and thanked them anyway, but then I checked my credit card and my visa was gone, turned right back around and they locked the doors and closed the store, they finally came to the door and they denied.I was told to wait outside, I called the police and waited 2 hours, they...

I love Mama herself and the staff, however we were a little disappointed today. I had the meatloaf special, the meatloaf top was dried out and hard, the green beans are from a can and tasted like rubber, no onions, no butter, not even salt. The ranch dressing on the salad was watery. The mashed potatoes were great. My husband had the catfish dinner that he's had several times over the years but he said that today it was bland. There was a man that had came out from the kitchen and began having a conversation with a customer, he was loud and although I know it's a free country, I personally didn't like that he cussed so much. We have eaten here for breakfast before, food was good but service was very bad, the lady attending us decided to leave before our food was out,vno coffee refills only got the first cup, however, we decided to come back to try out the lunch after a month or so, it was very lousy. We ordered the steak finger basket, the small one, paid over $30 for 2 baskets, food was not good what so ever, even though being the only ones there, mash potatoes was bland, the gravy was not even hot, the steak fingers were so thin and stingy and chewy, the toast seemed it was old and warmed up on the grill, looking at the place closely, it's so out of date and the ceiling above the kitchen is caving in, for sure thing we will not get going back to that place, you'll get better steak fingers at dairy Queen and much...
