Red Lobster — Restaurant in Odessa

Although I had spoken to the manager who was understanding and nice and helped us, our server was horrible and I need to let everyone in our community know what happened. My family and I was very unlucky to had gotten a horrible server. It seems like everyone else had attentive wonderful servers but we got stuck with who I wished I got the name but she was a larger sized, middle aged tall white lady who didn’t served us well At all. More than half of the time she was nowhere to be found. Never refilled our drinks, got our order wrong and gave me an attitude when I asked her for the correct sides. ( the menu said for my fish sandwhich I couldn’t substitute and it comes with fries and hush puppies and she gave me one side whicj was mash potatoes and my husband only got one side when it came with two sides and we had to ask for our biscuits when even else was served that right away. Her attitude and how she spoke to us made me lose my appetite and i did not even want to eat my dinner anymore. But The most disgusting thing that I am still upset about is SHE attempted to charge us for two non alcoholic drinks that was $6/7 dollars each for my two sons ages 2-6 in those mini plastic cups when they are supposed to be $3 smoothies on the kids meal. That is beyond disappointed and disgusting and sneaky and she tried to argue back and justify it when she got caught by me to the manager when I pointed it out. How embarrassing and horrible !!! So please please beware and check your itemized receipts before paying because this lady will try to pull a fast one and overcharge you. Went here today for my son's birthday. We were seated in about 15 min And took another 25 min to take our drink order by that time we were ready to order food because we didnt know how long it would be before she would be back. They brought our salads out and didnt have silverware for 30 min. So we just sat and stared at the salads I finally got up and tried to find some and asked an employee. They told me they'd tell our waitress. On the way back I asked another employee they also said they would tell someone. Finally after another 10 min a manager brought us silverware. Our appetizer came out with the food everything seemed like it had been plated for a while when they brought it out which was by a different employee which was friendly. We waited forever for a drink refill and a different waiter came by with single drink which turned out to be someone elses refill. Our waitress brought refills once and still forgot 1. We had wanted to order dessert but didnt because by that time we saw our waitress again we were ready to leave. The restaurant was not busy at all and there seemed to be more employees than people dining. Not one dish or glass was taken away to make room for the food when it was brought out so I had to move the dishes to an unbussed table next to us. Which would explain there not being any silverware. Got online and said we would be there at 6:15pm for party of 6. Got there at 6:05 and hostess, who did not want to be there, said 20-30min. Finally went up to host at 6:55 and asked how much longer. Got sat at 7pm. Waitress didnt come up to us till about 7:10ish. Got drinks about 7:15 and ordered entrees. Waited and waited (and had to wait for refills forever) and about 7:40 got our salads. 8pm came around and she came by and said "yalls food should be out in about 20min." We thought she was joking so kinda brushed it off. Then proceeded to say we are young and dont have anything else to do.. 8:10pm she comes up and says shes sorry and it's not her fault but the kitchen messed up our order and then gets out another sheet of paper to write all of our order down again... an hour later you realize something isn't right? And if the kitchen messed up our order then why did you have to write it down again? I was a server for 5 years so I was trying to be patient and understanding but the excuses and the time was ridiculous. No manager ever came over even though she walked by many times (server said she talked to the manager). I dont give bad reviews, but this one really annoyed me.
