Absolutely terrible experience. We had a group of 4 adults and 3 kids. Our waitress (Kendra) was completely terrible. She was Slow and more then 3 times got out items wrongs. When she asked for our drinks she couldn’t remember what all y’all had. Then when my boyfriend asked for a modelo she didn’t even know what it was. 20 minutes later she came back to ask if we wanted an appetizer and we order fried pickles and the tots. 20 minutes later she brought out them. 20 minutes later came and asked if we knew what we wanted. He ordered and by that time my boyfriend wanted another beer. Again, never heard of the beer and ended up calling it a odual. She brought out our food at different times which leaves us eating at different times. She forgets the beer and by the time she brings out the “odual” we’re basically disgusted by the bland tasting food. When my boyfriend takes a sip of the beer it’s not even a modelo. She comes by and tells her. She then proceeds to him that it is in fact a “odual”. Then leaves It isn’t even the same color. We all tasted it an agreed it wasn’t modelo. We motion to another waitress and tell her she gladly agrees to bring us another one. This is all in very long time increments. Then we ask for a Vegas bomb. She a course doesn’t know what that is. She brings out ONE 10 minutes after we ordered. Then we continue to wait for probably 20 more. She comes by and askes how is everything and we tell her we’re waiting for another Vegas bomb shot. Then that one takes FOREVER. She brings it out and it looks like someone spit in it. WE take it to the bar and ask for another which comes out to us fast. We watch the rest of the game with out plates still in front of us. She even mixed in coke and sweet tea when we asked for a refill. As we were getting ready to leave the table behind us complained to the manager about her and even about how the food is cold. Which I felt on my own (people at our table knew them) When we were looking over the recipite she charged us for 3 Vegas bombs instead of 2. We were tired of her and just wanted to get the heck...
Read moreStopped in about 10pm driving thru town on business, (they close at 12am) Used to live in Odessa about 8 years ago and this place was great at that time. Place was busy with what appeared to be mostly bar patrons. Led thru a plethora of dirty unbused tables to the back of dining area where we were sat at a high top barside table (all the was clean). We were not given menus, but waited about 5 minutes or so for menus, and our drink order (unsweetened tea) and fried pickle appetizer order was taken (we knew from past dining at Hooters that they served this item) . We then waited about 10 mins for our drinks (watered down tea "I think"). Thirty mins passed, no appetizer yet, tea is half full (we sipped slow) 45 mins..... an hour..... finally we caught our waitress walking by and before we could even ask her, she snapped at us "I'LL GO CHECK"! About 10 mins later, waitress shows up to our table with our main order. It looked ok, at that time, but I asked her to please remove the appetizer that we never recieved. She looked shocked said she would get them, I told her No, just don't charge us and before I could ask for silverware in which to eat with she walked away. We walked up to & begged at the bar for Silverware (bartender was super nice though, I might add) I picked up my bacon wrapped wing and it was dry, and ice cold, when I bit into it, it tasted rancid. SOOOO BAD! I then tried the chili cheese fries. Cold......total pallet buzzkill.. I never give negative feedback. I have rarely EVER left food uneaten. I was afraid of sickness from eating this food. We asked for the ticket immediately, refused "to go" boxes from waitress, explained food was cold & tasted horrible. Paid our ticket left a tip. Will NEVER return to this location. *note....Not once did I see a manager, nor did one come to the table to address food quality or service as all other Hooters locations and other Restaurants do during your dining experience. Surely, it couldn't be because we were not there long...
Read moreToday we had the WORST experience ever at hooters. It's not food wise, we didn't even have the chance to eat. My husband and I went out to eat, you know, after a long day at work to relax and have a beer and eat... Well we got seated, they asked us what we wanted to drink, we each asked for a beer. After 5 minutes a different waitress came to us and told us the waitress didn't feel comfortable serving us beer because we looked intoxicated... I was like what? am i hearing right? And I told her to repeat it and she said what I thought I heard. My husband and I looked at each other like what? We were in shock, first of all, we hadn't even drank at all in all day, second, you go to relax and that situation was so uncomfortable and out of place. We haven't even had one, we were polite at all time as usual, we weren't slurring, falling, making a commotion, we didn't even joke with the waitress. Ordered like we do at any place. So why profile us like that? We have eaten there multiple times and never been through something like that. My husband obviously felt embarrassed and angry, because in there were people who have more than one beer in there system and weren't denied another beer. Us? It felt very racist. Once we were heading out, I asked for the manager, they went to get him. We explained the situation but his answer was "I'm sorry she just feels uncomfortable because she says you look intoxicated." It was so unfair. You hope and think the manager has to have control over situations like this but it was the opposite. Imagine leaving your house all happy and being profiled like that. Never consuming from hooters again and I hope no one goes through this horrible experience...
