Dylan's has always been a nice place to stop for lunch. Located at 981 12th St. in Ogden, it is easily located. Looking at Dylan's from the outside, it has a very pleasant appeal. Our stop this day was spontaneous and I didn't have any glasses to see well enough to read the menu easily. The lady working was very pleasant and patient while I struggled to order. I ordered Bacon, lettuce and tomato on white toast. I asked for a bit extra bacon. Also ordered chips and a drink. My husband ordered Halibut and chips, which actually was Cod, not Halibut and also a drink. We didn't have to search for some place clean to sit. Everything was clean. While we waited for our food we walked over to get our drinks. The drinks were not the best we have had. Just like any other food establishment it is hard to get a nice tasting drink. A young man brought us our food, which was prepared as we had asked. Mine was quite tasty and yes there was some extra bacon. Expensive bacon that was about $2.00 each for each piece, making the bacon $4.00~ouch. My husband liked the Cod and the chips which were about a half a dozen small pieces. I received about four times as much, at least. I shared of course. This meal cost approximately $35.00 for the two of us. Which was a bit on the expensive side. My order took up well over half of the amount. Still the whole amount seemed a bit overboard for a bit of extra bacon, half a dozen chips for my husband and two small drinks which were too watery. The end take was my husband saying he would not choose to eat there again. I would, I liked my food minus the drink. Dylan's is some place I would recommend if you are not very concerned about...
Read moreI have always loved these guys. They definitely take longer, however, it's totally worth it. Today, not so great. When we finally got to the window the staff was pretty rude. I ordered a lime Rickey add coconut, they made me a lime Rickey without the grape.... So we tried to tell them it wasn't what I ordered, they tried to tell me it had coconut in it, I tried to explain it was supposed to be a lime Rickey ADD coconut, when she finally understood, she was pretty rude about making the correct drink. We thought she could just add some grape to the one I already had, but she had already started making the new one. The new one, I'm pretty sure the sprite went out on the machine, it tasted horrible, but there was no way I was going to tell them that after how the situation was already going. Then they dang near threw our food bag at us, and felt extremely rushed as we were trying to just check the bag to make sure everything was in there (there were prob 7-8 cars behind us now, we just wanted to make sure it was all correct) all of this, and it was almost 50 bucks for the two of us to eat. I love this local fast food chain if I'm going to eat fast food, but today was ridiculous and for the cost, which is basically what we would have spent at an actual restaurant. Something needs to change y'all. The staff always were so friendly, esp cause the wait is so long, they were always nice at the window, but if this is how it is now, I mean, we can just stop supporting this business. Way too expensive to have our order not right and way too rude to deal with it all. So sad. RIP...
Read moreWe had a less than great experience here tonight. We came to get some shakes and sides after a soccer game.
When we were ordering we asked about how big the small and regular orders of onion rings were, the cashier assured us that the small was a healthy portion and the regular was very big portion.
With that advice we ordered some shakes a regular order of fries, a small order of onion rings and a chicken strip basket.
The shakes were a decent value, the fries were ok they could've been crispier. The regular order sizing was confusing as it seemed like we got less fries as a full side order than my son got with his chicken strips. And the onion rings portion was very small and definitely not as advertised, there were only 5 small rings served on the same basket as the "full" order of fries. Feeling confused we approached the counter to ask if the portion was correct, the staff assured us that was the correct portion size. We weren't going to make a stink about it and chalked it up to misunderstanding. It was disappointing that it was a tasty onion ring but the portion and price were not as expected.
As far as the chicken strips go, they seemed pretty standard and honestly overpriced for what appeared to be...
