The Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo is hands down one of the best events of the year—I look forward to it every July and make sure to attend multiple nights. It’s an absolute blast from start to finish and truly captures the spirit of the West in the most exciting and entertaining way.

Pro tip: Buy your tickets directly from the box office! It’s the best way to avoid inflated prices from online scalpers. Trust me, you’ll save money and have peace of mind knowing your seats are legit.

Speaking of seats—Section A and Section B are my all-time favorites. It doesn’t matter what row you’re in; every seat in those sections feels like a front-row view to the action. You’re right in the heart of it all!

The announcer is phenomenal—engaging, hilarious, and really keeps the energy up all night. This year’s rodeo clown had the entire crowd in stitches. And of course, the cowboys and cowgirls put on a jaw-dropping show every night. The level of skill, bravery, and showmanship is nothing short of incredible.

This event is for everyone—it’s family-friendly, wheelchair accessible, and full of good old-fashioned fun. Whether you’re a rodeo regular or a first-timer, you’ll leave with a huge smile and unforgettable memories.

First time rodeo so I can't compare to other rodeos but I CAN compare to other entertainment venues. Come later to avoid the harsh sun if you weren't smart enough to get a seat on the west side. If you manage a seat facing east, the mutton busters is a great opening act The play between the MC and the clown was excellent! I'm sure they scripted a lot of it but it felt natural and kept the show moving while the next act was readying Encouraging sympathy and engagement in the performers and animals was well done Loved the barrel races, wow! Would have appreciated some insight into what the heck the judges were measuring for the bronco and bull riding... Scoring was VERY mysterious As the sun set the atmosphere was perfect, thank you Utah dry heat that disappears...

Wow! Tonite was our first time attending the Ogden City Rodeo. It was sooo much fun, so enjoyable! From all the pre-rodeo events, the sky divers, the horses, bulls, clowns, cowboys, cowgirls, etc,etc and the motorbikes at the end... So much professional talent here and new rodeo records set. Our seats were in the new North Grandstand and were perfect! Loved having a seat with a back and a drink holder. We parked our car in the designated free Rodeo parking lot on Washington Blvd (North of the Temple) and rode the free shuttle to the stadium...easy peasy... This is an event for the entire family.
