Lorin Farr park is a city park with a mix of facilities, and a large grassy area perfect for a pick up game of soccer. There is a small pool with a water slide, one large and one small pavilion, two play areas, a skate park, a rodeo ground, and directly located next to the Ogden River Parkway. The facilities are a real mix. The pool is very inexpensive, but also a bit worn down. There us plenty of staff, though. And this is also where the pool scene for The Sandlot was filmed. The pavilion and playground on the east end are newer and in great shape, while the west end is older, albeit usable. The rodeo grounds are a fun place, but underused. The skate park is very clean, and always attracts a crowd. My son and I run past the place quite a bit, as well as swimming here. It is a fun hangout, but the pool does get crowded quickly, due to its small size. The only downside is that there are a lot of events here. Make sure to check the city calendar if planning something big, and don't count on the pavilion...

Great place. Central location. River next to it provides fishing, wading, tubing or just a nice spot to relax and daydream. Off street parking, Skateboard facility, restrooms. large shelter (very similar to previous one), swimming pool next door, grassy areas for volleyball / badmitton (no fixed nets) or enjoying lunch or a good book from a blanket. Lots of shade. Swings and a smaller climbing wall/play area for younger ones. A great place for a picnic right before enjoying Pioneer Days Rodeo next door July 19th - 24th. The pictures listed show one of the West Stadium Park. which is between 17th St. and Canyon Road on Jefferson, actually west of the Ogden Pioneer Stadium. Lorin Farr Park has a rich history and is accessible from Washington Blvd. via Canyon Road (1650 S) or from the east from Monroe Blvd....

It’s a shady place, the people at the skate park are usually not friendly towards me, i ride scooters, and most of the people at the skate park are skaters or bikers. that and i’ve also had my run in with shady people there in general, not just at the skatepark. not the best place for a scooter kid to hang out. we (Utah) need parks specifically made for scooters and Lorin Farr Skatepark needs better security/monitoring, there are no cameras and no security whatsoever, there were people there today smoking weed. this so far is the only park besides cross roads i can go to to ride my scooter, if i want to go to a scooter specific park i have to go out of state or city or something. the only time i enjoy it is when no...

I love this park. Its the park featured in the movie Sandlot. I love sharing that with my kids. There's an enclosed skate park here next to the pool. You can catch a trail along the Ogden River. There's public bbq pits and a covered sitting area. This is the park that has the rodeo also. I think there's 2 playgrounds. One on the east side and the other on the west side. There's a parking lot on each side and street parking along the park. And they have working bathrooms, but be cautious like anywhere else. I walked in with my daughter and there was a homeless man in there.

We went to the swimming pool area and had a blast. I love the 2 different pools that include a shallow one. The only thing that was odd was that they told me young kids are not allowed down the slides even with an adult. Every other pool I've ever been to will allow a child down the slide on the lap of their parent or with a parent waiting at the bottom. So my younger kids were a little disappointed.

Seemed nice. Pretty area. Most things may have been closed when we got there or permanently. Didnt stick around. Some kid was taking his dog home and thought he was in his high school class though. He said like 15 words to his dog and 16 of them were swear words. He loved his dog though, he wasnt mean. Lol. The rest of the people seemed normal enough and there were plenty of people around.
