Great food, friendly peeps, nice place.
I complemented the woman with short hair and great tattoos on her absolutely beaming smile - she literally made me smile. She seemed very in her element and I love to see that. 👍
Feedback for the owner to increase sales:
We got a Cincysaver to try you out. We usually go to Front Street Cafe (we live in Covington, my parents in Anderson, and we met up for breakfast often).
If you're going to invest in a coupon like that, have a plan to truly drive sales and gain loyalty from the new customers you'll attract. Suggestive sell, and offer a bounce back coupon (maybe $5 off $30 on your next visit or a free coffee with $15 purchase?).
We sat at a table right in front of where you order. The menu is very large and the writing is very small on the menu board. My elderly parents couldn't read it and I had a hard time too - with perfect vision.
Trim the menu back 40-60% (this is how Dave Thomas of Wendy's saved the Colonel and KFC back in the day - check out the book "Dave's Way" - much simpler operation, less prep less training and customers will pick an option even if less to choose from).
Print out simple plain paper copies of the menu (not expensive at all) for customers to view.
Then you can include the pastries, bakery items and frozen meats on the paper copies. We would've bought a lot more but didn't see the frozen meats, chicken and some of the pastries until we were leaving.
Teach the cashier (different younger girl than the one I mentioned) to upsell - she processed our order, but easily could've mentioned other items or suggested things that we likely would've bought.
Best wishes, I know how tough it is to run a restaurant! You're doing great, keep looking for ways to streamline...
Read moreFood quality and presentation has been high and consistent for over two years now. Much higher than all of the coffeehouses I have frequented on the EAST and NORTH side of Cincinnati.
The coffee selection is more narrow than other locations but always very high quality and not over roasted. I really appreciate that they offer a lot of high quality Columbian, Sumatran coffees instead of the cheap Guatemalan coffees that have been introduced at many coffeehouses.
The space is always warm and friendly and there is music and free WIFI. The most consistent WIFI I have experienced for any coffee shop including the BUCKS.
----I started writing Google reviews because the APPs that claim to be review guides removed my reviews if there was any criticism of hygiene or food taste and quality yet kept posted insults of staff and claims of "bigot" behavior. - I moved to Google to preserve the integrity of reviews and walked from...
Read moreWholy Beans is a wonderful local business in New Richmond, Ohio. Next to the Green Kayak on front street directly in eyesight of the river. There's a small park across the street which is a great place to relax and enjoy your coffee in the morning.
I really enjoy the coffee. They roast their own beans and sell them in the store. I buy a bag a week. Lots of cold and hot coffee options to choose from. My favorite is the hot mocha. (Especially because it's not loaded with sugar and extra sweet).
For a coffee shop they have quite a large list of food items for breakfast and lunch. I stopped in the other day and they had homemade biscuits and gravy. It was amazing. I would suggest trying the double grilled chilled as well with spicy jam.
Worth the trip to support a small business and...
