China Star — Restaurant in Ohio

I highly recommend and love this place. The family that runs this business has always been super-friendly and welcoming. The food has consistently been exactly what I expect, the price is beyond reasonable, and everything has always been fresh. The meals are always exactly how I'd cook it myself if I was that gifted in the kitchen... the right amount of veggies, eggs, etc and the portions are VERY large, so come with an appetite. I've eaten here or picked up food at least 40 times since I moved into the area 2 years ago. I'd done the lunch buffet several times when I first moved here but I generally get 2 dinners for pickup and it feeds me for at least a whole day. Definitely...

Just regular old average Chinese take out. Nothing fancy at all. I first went there two years ago and swore Id never go back, but recently tried it again and it was so much better. Just enough to satisfy the craving of Chinese food. If they error at all, its usually making things a little to bland for my liking. Nice people, but the reviewers who mentioned the PEAS that they use were dead on. They must have bought a million bags of them and wont quit using them until they run out, but they are really bad. They really need to toss them and get new regular...

Had high expectations with all of the positive reviews. We ordered several menu items for dinner. Literally nothing had flavor. I mean usually white rice even has some slight flavor to it but no it was all bland. White in color. No sauce to add flavor. The sweet and sour sauce was comparable to water with red dye added. The wonton soup was water with oil and salt. The hot and sour soup was basically only flavored by black pepper. Honestly every other chinese restaurant in town is better.
