La Charreada Shawnee — Restaurant in Ohio

Came in today because I saw lots of good reviews. It was busy when I got here so I waited to be seated for about 5 minutes, nothing terrible. The staff was attentive and kind. I wasn’t impressed with the fajitas I got. They were the fajitas Popeye, and when I read it in the menu it sounded really good. But unfortunately just wasn’t very flavorful. They were bland if anything. The tortillas tasted store bought, best way I can put it, basically meaning they tasted like they were cheap and processed. Homemade tortillas should be the standard. The chips and salsa were ok. I’m from Texas so I have a big range of good Mexican restaurants to compare to, and this place didn’t cut it. We've been going to Shawnee Lacharreadas for a couple years now. It's a good place for really good Mexican food. Portions are big so come hungry! There was maybe once that the food wasn't EXACTLY how we had it before but so far it all has been just fine (maybe too much Goya). Service is always great as well, very attentive and fast. Ordering by phone could be improved. However, if you are clear with your order and make sure you have everything on your list it should be just fine. On Tuesday, I had ordered 2 fajita quesadillas with no meat. Got home and they were loaded with meat and no veggies. I called and let them know the mistake, I told her I could go back the following day. I believe the waiter and I just misunderstood each other. Went in, hey quickly made me the correct order and I added extra chips & salsa along with a drink that I said I'd pay for. And the gentleman that helped me said the extra was on them as well, and I am just so appreciative of the team and generosity. My family loves all 3. We are never let...
