I used to LOVE this mcds. & there are a few employees I still really love and they have always been kind to me and my son. But on Tuesday February 27th at roughly 9:10 am the manager on duty was so condescending towards me & she refused to give me her name which tells you she knows she was in the wrong. I pull up to the drive thru and pull up my code and I give it to them, I had a code for a dollar large any coffee. It didn't work on their end, but it says it worked on my end so I'm not able to give them the code again because it's 1x a day or sometimes it resets in 15 mins (mine was saying it would reset in 15 mins, I'm assuming because it didn't actually go through) So I asked if they could honor it anyway, because in the past when this has happened they usually honor it because it's a system error not customers fault, I didnt do anything wrong and mcds didnt either this stuff just happens. No biggie, right? Well she claims a manager has to do it, which I know is not correct, so I already had a feeling they were going to be rude towards me. & I was correct, the manager played nice at first in a super fake nice voice, and i explained what happened and I wasnt rude towards her, because I know it's not their fault so I'm just praying they'd honor it because I just want my coffee. Well they refused and treated me like I was lying. I felt like it was an interrogation. I wasn't treated like a person, I was treated like a criminal it was ridiculous. She kept insinuating I had used the code already today, this is my first time even out, I had to get my son on the bus for pre-k, and she says the only way the code wouldn't work on our end is if you used it. And I'm like I did use it, I JUST gave it to you guys, I can't explain anymore then they can why it didn't work. I just don't understand why it was such a big deal to honor my code. They had it out for me. Held up the line big time, during breakfast time, all because they wouldn't honor a stupid code. I explained this happens sometimes but they usually just honor it for me and the manager says "I will NOT be honoring the code for YOU" I was so shocked, I have never had someone be so mean to me over something so small. I even said like so you'd risk this mcds not getting any of my business over this code? & look I literally never write reviews you can click on my name and check; I'm so laid back and I'm not a Karen, I give credit where credit is due, But the way she tricked me and spoke to me genuinely hurt my feelings. After she refused to give me her name when I asked because i told her I'd be writing a review, she goes on to say have a nice day like she didnt just treat me like crap so I might have said something not so nice. But let's not act like that's not what she meant when she said "Have a nice day." So I left and drove to Huber Heights and they had NO issues with my code. (Because I hadn't used the code, park layne mcds just messed it up, it wasn't my fault) So the code had refreshed and I gave it to them and it worked, it's a christmas miracle. But mind you, the manager at Park Layne told me I'd have to wait 24 hours, this was when she had decided I was lying and had used the code I guess. Because at one point she mentioned waiting the 15 mins for it to reset. So she wanted me to have to wait the 15 mins, that means the code just didn't work on their end, so why wouldn't she honor it? See what I mean? That's so condescending and just plain mean. So I will drive to tipp city and or Huber from now on. Unless I know my favorite employees are working and not this mean miserable person and I hope she goes somewhere else because she doesn't belong at this mcds or any of them. THEY ASKED THE SECOND FAILED ATTEMPT FOR OUR RECEIPT WHICH WE PROVIDED AND THEY SAID IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG CAR ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. WELL THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE MANAGER ISNT DOING HER JOB AND THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE CONSIDERING WE FINALLY HAD TO WALK INSIDE TO GET THE ORDER AFTER AN HOUR OF WAITING AND THEN AGAIN IT WAS GIVEN TO US AS THE EMPLOYEE ASKED THE MNGR IF SHE CHECKED IT FOR THE ITEMS TO BE WE HAD ORDERED AND SHE RUDELY SAID YES AND THEN WE GOT IT AND GUESS WHAT....IT WAS NOT CORRECT AND AGAIN WE WAITED IN AWE THAT SHE NEVER SAID A WORD TO US OR EVEN TRIED TO MAKE ANY ATTEMPT TO BE APOLOGETIC OR SORRY. SHE DIDNT SEEM TO CARE AT ALL ABOUT THE FACT WE ORDERED 2 BURGERS AND A SM FRY AND SPENT OVER AN HR FOR IT. THIS PLACE HAS WENT DOWNHILL IN EVERY ASPECT. THE FOOD IS NEVER EDIBLE LIKE YOU WOULD EXPECT OR THEY DONT FILL YOUR DRINKS, ICE CREAM, OR FRIES HALFWAY AND HAND THEM TO YOU WITHOUT A THOUGHT AS TO WHAT THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR COMPARED TO WHAT THEY ACTUALLY SEVE YOU. FRIES ARE ALWAYS COLD AND SOGGY AND HARD FROM BEING UNDERCOOKED. THE LACK OF A LEADER OR ONE THAT EVEN GIVES A SIT IS EASILY SEEN WHEN YOU HAVE ANY INTERACTION WITH THIS MCDS. I WAITED 40 MINS FOR A FRAPPE AT 7A AND IT WAS NOT EVEN BUSY. ITS RIDICULOUS THAT THEY ACCEPT YOUR MONEY AND THEN DONT EVEN CARE THAT THEY ARE BEING RUDE AND PROVIDING BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have retained my receipt as proof of purchase. Upon ordering, I was directed to pull forward to the designated waiting area for the remainder of my order. While waiting, I was provided with my ordered Coca-Cola and a straw. Shortly thereafter, a male employee with black hair approached my vehicle and requested the return of my drink. He stated that the beverage dispenser nozzle had inadvertently fallen into the drink I was actively consuming. This incident raises significant health and safety concerns. The potential for contamination from an unsanitary dispenser nozzle is alarming, especially considering the possibility of mold or bacterial growth if proper cleaning protocols are not consistently followed. As a former healthcare professional, I am acutely aware of the potential health risks associated with such oversights. Furthermore, upon receiving my food, I found it to be cold and the french fries excessively hard and crunchy. I immediately returned to the restaurant to request a replacement order. While I waited outside, the food was remade. However, the replacement order was in a worse state than the original. The fries were exceptionally hard, suggesting they may have been re-fried, resulting in an unacceptable texture. I subsequently contacted the restaurant via telephone to express my concerns regarding the fries. The employee who answered acknowledged that re-frying fries would be "disgusting." I pointed out that the presence of a beverage dispenser nozzle in my drink was equally concerning. I am deeply disappointed by the overall experience, which included: Unsanitary conditions: The presence of a beverage dispenser nozzle in my drink.
