One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a McDonalds, competing to be the worst customer service I've experienced of any kind.
I ordered 4 meals for my family and one McFlurry. I was immediately made to wait at the end of the sidewalk for my food. After several minutes a male employee brought out my fries and began to walk away. I had to remind him about the rest of the food, which he lazily said he'd bring.
He then brought my drinks and nothing else. I had to ask for the McChicken, McFlurry, nuggets, and filet of fish. He brought back only the fish. So I again had to ask for the remainder of my order.
In an unbelievable display of incompetence and apathy, and on the FOURTH visit to my car, now with my fries lukewarm in the 15 degree walk from the building and from waiting over 15 minutes, he brought my nuggets and still no McChicken!!!!
He left too soon for me to catch him so I had to now go inside. I asked for the McChickens, I ordered 2 he gave me a bag and by God's grace, before I reached the door I noticed he'd only given me one…...... I got my 2nd and final sandwich and left.
Stressed and barely able to maintain respectful communication, which I prioritize regardless of circumstances, I didn't notice the missing McFlurry until I was almost home. I dropped the, now cold, food off to my family before going back to get the McFlurry.
The same employee was at the counter when I returned and now couldn't hold back my anger about my frustration with the cold food and the amount of times I've had to correct the order or remind him of the food I'd ordered. He meandered to make the Flurry and simply said it's not his fault because he didn't take the order.
Thank God I was speechless and left!!
I literally couldn't have written this story in a Dumb and Dumber bloopers reel. 😤😤😤😤 Not only did this employee put ZERO effort into giving me the correct order, it's clear he never does. He had no remorse, or even fake apology. I have no doubt that any correct order that he's been involved in has been by mere mistake.
This employee destroys the customer service but also had no consideration for the business or profit of McDonalds or it's franchise owner. If I could think of anything positive about this employee it is that he blindly trusted me at every additional insistence to correct my order by giving me more food. There's no doubt that I could have gone back to him 10+ more times and asked for anything and he'd just casually get it and bring it to me without checking that I'd paid for it either.
I've never seen an employee with such disregard for ANY sense of accuracy, efficiency, responsibility, or customer service. He is a harm to everyone involved. Ruining customer meals, creating more work for coworkers, slowing down productivity for managers, and flushing labor cost and food costs down the...
Read moreI was at this McDonald’s location at 3:00 pm and had ordered a McChicken and a large drink. I came back to this same location at 6:30 pm through the drive-thru. I ordered up to $20 worth of food for both my friend and I. Toward the end of my order, I had asked the lady if I could have my drink re-filled through the drive-thru. If not, I could just go back inside the restaurant and re-fill it myself - no big deal. The lady was just about to answer when a manly, rude, aggressive tone answered for her saying, “For a dollar and seven cents you can order a whole new drink.” I tried letting her know that I had come in earlier through the intercom. The voice interrupted me saying, “No mam. You were not here earlier. You can order a whole new drink for a dollar o seven.”
Uhm, how are you going to tell me that I was not here? I have a large cup to prove it. That’s why I’m asking for a RE-FILL.
I go up to the window to pay and two young ladies apologize for their manager for me and proceed to let me know I can always go through the side door and get myself a re-fill. I tell them “Thank you so much.” and they said “No problem! Have a nice day.”
I receive my two bags of food. Then, park in the parking lot to go inside and re-fill my drink. I start to get some ice when the manager who is in fact a female not a male decides to come up from behind me to let me know I will have to pay for this drink for one dollar and seven cents. You know, I really could have paid one dollar and seven cents again - no big deal, but this manager was so close to my neck aggressively letting me know that I cannot have my drink unless I pay for it again that I decided to continue to keep putting in Sprite into my cup only for her to walk back very fast to the front counter, grab the phone, and CALL THE COPS on me. She proceeded to tell me, “You can’t take a sip of that drink, mam. You are a stealer. I am calling the cops on you, best belieeeeeve that!” I said, “Wow. You do that.” and she replied saying, “Damn, right I will!” and stomped up behind me till I left the premises.
You know, that’s just petty management and there were better ways to deal with that situation without it having to escalate that far.
I left the parking lot with her writing down my license plate number on a notepad while her phone was to her...
