Riser Tavern & Grill — Restaurant in Ohio

Food is decent, service was lackluster.

Called and ordered takeout, wanted the ahi tuna poke bowl that's on the menu according to the website and Google (photo from two months ago), but whoever answered didn't seem to know what I was talking about, and seemed to not care to check the menu and was adamant about me choosing the ahi tuna bites. Which apparently is an appetizer so I was surprised to see how small it was. But the salmon entree, 17 bucks, was equally as small. So it's pretty disappointing the amount of food you get with takeout vs dine in.

Called to complain about a side that was incorrect. Wife went to pick it up and she stressed about the amount of food in our order, she seemed to just get a shrug from whoever she talked to rather than an "I'm sorry, we'll do better next time, how can I fix this".

I mean I get it, servers can get busy and overwhelmed sometimes. I apologize if I sounds slightly, but the place had maybe 6 people at the bar max and maybe 5 or 6 tables. Crowd seems fairly manageable for a smaller staff.

We were here for the first time tonight. I'm glad we decided to go tonight because the live music was fantastic (Leather and Lace.) Our food was good, but I wouldn't order what I had again, and our server was excellent (I'm sure she told us her name, but I didn't pay attention-- cute little blonde with wavy hair in a ponytail.) My husband had a strawberry jalapeño burger (sounds terrible, but he said it was good!) with fries, and I had a blueberry bbq chicken sandwich with their hand cut chips. There are too many competing flavors on that chicken sandwich. Leave off the blueberry or the pickles and avocado -- they don't all go together. The chips were some of the best I've ever had and I get hand cut chips every where they are offered. They were thin & crisp and not a soggy or burned one in the bunch. He had bottled beer and I a had a fancy sangria (way too sweet, so I'll try something else next time. ) We live about a mile from here, so we may be back, but I think their menu is a little too ambitious. Definitely Amazing Just dropped in for a quick drink...And ended up enjoying my whole experience...Service was great Food was fresh and Absolutely Delicious..This was a Saturday night so we watched a game while enjoying our drinks, The Riser Sangria I gotta say was one of the best I've had..😋..And the L & L Shake was A Great Tasting Lemonade with a twist and a kick...😋..So then we ordered an Appetizer, the 🦀 Crab Rangoon Dip..Was something different and Definitely Delicious..😋..A must try...So since everything was Amazing Delicious we ordered two entries..The Prime Rib Grilled Cheese..Again something different and it was Absolutely Fantastic..😋...And we had to try the wings..The Blueberry Wings & The Garlic Parm...Also Delicious 😋..My Brother lives in Columbus, Ohio the next time he comes home I gotta take him here..He going to Love it here...And it perfect for a date night also...And for I'll definitely return on a random night...Don't let this one...
