This pizza is what I always asked for as kid, it was a treat! Fast forward 35 years... I've lived in NYC, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and Connecticut, while traveling extensively for work. This pizza is as good, or better than any pizza I've had anywhere. Period. It's always hot, fresh, a little sweet, and packed with toppings, just the way I remember it being made by the Salvato's on Bunker hill back in the day. The house salad dressing is not average, it's a tart, slightly sweet, amazing explosion of flavor that makes me happy every time I eat it! I don't eat pizza from anywhere else. Just like anything else in life, some love it, some don't. But those who don't are just wrong! Lol. All joking aside I think you'll love it! I know my family does....
Read moreClose this joint down! They are closed Sunday, Monday, Wednesday. They are open whenever they feel like it! It says they are open until 840 today and I call from 7:00-7:30 and it goes to the answering machine. I drive all the way there and she said she just closed the sign and turned off the phones at 730. (Supposed to be open until 840). I had been calling since 7:00! If you aren't going to stay open your posted hours, just close! We have been trying for a month to get pizza and you are closed or don't answer the phone. So annoyed...
Read moreMy first visit to Salvato's. Lobby was very dirty especially the rugs. Could use a good cleaning. Kitchen are was clean as far as I could see. Neat and organized. I ordered a 12" veggie pizza. Taste I give it a 5. Visual appearance 3. Quality 4. Veggies cut and evenly spread would be better looking I ordered pineapple on it. I could count the pieces.
