Chelinos Restaurant is another good place to grab some well made and delicious mex food. The service is on point as there is always someone who is ready to seat you and someone to take your order, and the food is made very well and fills anyone up! Honestly its a nice place to go and a nice place to eat when your looking for something quick and cheap while it being delicious and hot.
However...there are a few problems I had with the place as a whole. One such problem was that it was rather cramped. Granted the restaurant wasn't big by any standards but still it seemed kinda cramped in the establishment. Plus I noticed there was some holes in the wall. This could be because of moving or maintenance but its a bit off putting. But the biggest problem...was no drinks menu! Theres a bar in there and although margaritas are nice, I can see many other liquors that could be served or mixed, but theres no menu or any indication on the main menu they give you on what they have! Its baffling! But if they fixed that I bet they will get way more customers. But otherwise, its not a deal breaker, and still a good place to eat.
So what are you waiting...
Read moreMy girlfriend wanted Mexican and scrolling through menus of restaurants around us, I found a menu item called “Nino’s” enchiladas at Chelino’s. The way they were described sounded incredibly familiar to me... the cheese and onion enchiladas I used to get at my family’s favorite Mexican restaurant back in my childhood. I moved away to Arizona and when I came back a couple years later there was no more Nino’s on western. I immediately got to googling when I saw this “Nino’s” menu item and I really don’t know how I never knew that Chelino’s was started by a former Nino’s employee who was very close with the owner. I have incredibly fond memories of a mariachi band and a clown with balloon animals. I was raving to my girlfriend the whole day about how some of my very first memories are at a table in Nino’s, and I am amazed, delighted, and so grateful that Nino lives on through Chelino’s. Thank you, Mr. Garcia for keeping Nino alive. We will be back...
