DC Wings and Cakes is the kind of place you ask yourself, why didn't I know about this place sooner. We were in OKC for a combat robot event at the science museum and this is almost across the street. We were greeted as we entered and when I asked what was good, they pointed at the entire menu. This made me smile but after eating here, I know it was the correct response. We stopped in on the way home and the food alone was worth the drive from Wichita. We ordered 24 wings and got them half ghost pepper and half garlic buffalo. The wings were cooked perfectly. Fried and crispy even after being sauced. Both sauces were delicious. The ghost pepper had tons of flavor and a slow building heat. The garlic buffalo was a really unique flavor with the tang of buffalo and the big flavor of garlic. We also tried the fried catfish which was fresh and crispy as you could want. Along with the wings and fish we ordered fries and they were crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. The perfect fry for me!! The other half of the name is Cakes.......... and don't think about leaving without one.... or two or three even. We each got a sample slice with our food which was 7-Up today and it was amazing. Light citrus flavor with a mouth watering icing was very refreshing after our food. I picked up a peach cobbler and pineapple upside cake to go as well. Both of which were just as good as the 7-Up sample. This is one place that I will be talking about for awhile. I love finding new gems and this place...

Short Review: BEST WINGS & FRIES IN THE CITY! TRY EM!

Long Review: Stopped by yesterday to try DC Wings & Cakes near TinselTown… Best decision I’ve made in a while!! A friend recommended and said they had the “best wings in the city”

Upon entering I was warmly greeted by the man himself! He was extremely professional but personal and made me feel like I’ve been there before. He didn’t hesitate to give me some recommendations so I tried his personal favorite, the dry rub Lemon Pepper wings and they were 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 fresh and delicious with some house ranch dressing and the best fries I’ve ever had! Yes better than Wing Stops & even fresher! Unlike some places there are many different flavors to choose from! 🤔🤔🤔

I normally can’t eat cold fries because they aren’t half as good as fresh hot fries. I woke up and ate these cold fries out the fridge for breakfast and they were still really good! You can tell family and community means a lot to him because he had them posted on the walls of his restaurant. You can tell he takes pride in his food and work yet still extreme humble and easy to talk to. Out of all the places I’ve had wings across the city, you can’t even compare the quality of food, freshness, quality, selection, cleanliness, and friendly service you get at DC Wings & Cakes… He even hooked me up with a free piece of cake I usually don’t eat (not a fan of white cake) but 🤯 it was 💣 💣 too!! This place doesn’t miss! Next time I’ll have to try the strawberry or pineapple upside cake.. Banana pudding as well 😯😲

We needed some food! My cousin Lynn sent me a bunch of restaurants & I picked DC Wings and Cakes! Idk why but Wings & Cake awoken the fat dude in me LMAO. We pull up & forgot to take our obligatory in front of the business picture! We was hungry. Go inside & its really nice, clean & DC got Sade playing on the TV. Its a chill vibe. Pops orders the Buffalo Wings & Fries. I order Hot Honey & Brown Sugar! These wings were 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Sauced & cooked perfectly. Obviously its called Wings & Cake for a reason. You can buy cakes but you get a little mini cake with your order! Yall I tasted that cake & immediately asked DC. Who made this M'fn cake? He replied "I did"! I then asked did he know my Grandma Dorothy? Bro, channeled the spirit of a 1,000 church ladies with these cakes! We just got to talking about life, our trip, business & other stuff!
